03/16/2024. Probably one of the areas best kept secrets. This winery makes delicious wines made from BLUEBERRIES. Yes, fermented blueberries. Our party of 4 was very pleasantly surprised. Some were sweet, and some were quite dry. Even the dry had a hint of blueberries but not sweet. The port is outstanding. This is a local, relaxing, family farm. Leave your Fendi bag and your Rolex watch home. They are open as a winery mon to Thurs. Dinner Fri and Sat. Reservations required a week in advance. All food on Fri and Sat is cooked on a grill outside. We did not have dinner but as the food went by it looked really good. Live music today outside by Dale Stumbo. My kind of music. 60's 70's and country too. He's very good. We will return.

Well usually I would say excellent. However the owner Darrell made excuses to a menu change. They no longer serve bake beans instead serve green carrots. And a spoon full of mash potatoes with either salmon, chicken or steak and charge $33. RIP off folks.Wine is great but the food. NOT......They can give every excuse but the meal is not worth the money.Wine TANGO yes but nothing else on the menu. Shipping is the words I would use.

Some of the best wine I think I've ever had, food was fantastic, and even though there were only 2 people running the entire place when we were there (and I'm not exaggerating, they were cooking, serving cleaning, and bussing by themselves while it the place was full), both women were still sweet and quick to back to us whenever they could. Those 2 honestly deserve a raise. Id definitely come back.

I was very disappointed it was beautiful inside but this hospitality from the OWNER was very cold disrespectful to me n my girlfriend she didn’t even finish waiting on us n we ask about lunch n never got any response yes we bought a bottle of wine what we should have done is got up and walked out. I will never go back or recommend anyone to go there specially after driving over a hour to get there.

Would like to have the option to reserve inside vs outside. We were seated at a high table that was too high to eat at comfortably, and it was out in left field. It was also cold outside and the heater was not near our table. We were moved inside, but could not hear the live music from outside. There was no music, just loud noises from the bartender cleaning glasses. The food was great, and loved the wine. We had excellent service, but was disappointed about the inside ambiance (or lack of). Really did not get a good answer to why we could not sit at one of the low tables under the roof, since we did have a reservation. We would return, but would call next time and be more specific about reservation.

We should have left when we discovered that the $87 per couple advertised on their website was not in effect -- it was $60 per person. Then we should have left when we were about 20 minutes late being seated and we observed at least one couple leaving because their food didn't come after over an hour of waiting. Our waitress was very good but she was clearly overworked. I thought my steak would be special as it was grilled on their charcoal grille -- the steak was done as I ordered, but there was so much grizzle that I had trouble cutting it with a steak knife. Sorry to say -- we will not be returning or recommending Whispering Oaks.
This was Valentine's Day and I made a reservation weeks ahead of time. The experience was horrible. They were clearly overbooked and could not handle the crowd they had. Our waitress rarely came by and, when she did, she said the kitchen was backed up. About an hour into arriving, we finally got our first course but it was not what we ordered and the waitress never came back to fix the situation even after I asked the hostess for help. I don't think we will ever go back there to eat.

Worst food in my life. Meat had a funny taste which we think it was spoiled. They brought it very rare and I asked them to cook it a little longer. They brought it back within the minute the same way they took it.

It was an interesting experience (good interesting not bad interesting). Couple of things....the site had (I think it was t-bone?) filet, surf and turf (w/shrimp) but also another steak. That other steak wasn't on our menu. I think it might have been a ribeye. Anyway it wasn't on the menu we had. I'm a fan of filets so no concern there. My wife got the sure and turf and ordered her filet well done. It was medium rare. I ordered medium rare and got rare. Especially with such a great cut of meat as the filet, it's pretty vital to nail the customers cooking request. My wife couldn't eat her steak because of how undercooked it was for her. I had sent an email earlier in the day asking if there was wine tasting but never got a response. We ordered the cheese and fruit plate and roasted red pepper hummus but our fruit plate has a bunch of grapes and one strawberry. The hummus didn't come. We mentioned as our waitress passed by and she turned to the guys in the corner and they said they never got that order. Small things that are not deal breakers but compile them up and it doesn't paint a positive picture for future desires. It was a little odd that the musician (singer guitarist) was going around to customers before going on stage but maybe that's what is the norm (we don't usually go to places that have live music). Anyway, we will try this location again and see how that turns out. I'll write a yelp review after we visit this place again. I read some of the other reviews and it doesn't seem those commenting gave it a second chance and blasted you all online., which isn't fair.

Had a great evening with friends at Whispering Oaks Winery. Food was served hot and cooked to perfection. Music was soothing and perfect for the evening. Our server was patient and helpful while ordering food and wine. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy a warm evening.
