This landmark of North Central Florida is a must-visit restaurant. It is very small, so don't go during crowded times. The entire restaurant is on a train car. There is limited parking and seating available, so you may need to wait. Prices are low and the food is authentic. We ordered milkshakes because we saw the old milkshake machines, where they are actually hand-turned. They have the best burgers in Palatka, but I go for breakfast. The interior is crammed, so don't be offended. The bench seating needs to be replaced, and it hurts your butt. I didn't get to see the bathrooms, but they make a genuine effort to ensure everything is clean. It is a unique experience, bring the kids while places like this still exist.

I was very hesitant about dining here with it being so old and small. I pictured unsanitary conditions and overcooked greasy food. I was beyond wrong. In fact, I was so impressed I came back a second time within a week!
I will continue to make the 45 minute drive to this diner frequently, it's that good! The fried chicken is juicy and the breading is dry and crispy, not greasy at all. The portions are nice! The chili is amazing, and the chili cheese fries are so good it feels like you have stepped back in time.
The atmosphere is truly nostalgic!! The staff are all friendly and attentive. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Hadn't eaten here in probably 15 years. Had the 1/2 lb. bacon cheese burger all the way and onion rings. It was excellent! The only issue was the dirty table.

I remember sitting in Angel's many times as a kid and lived in Palatka. Was there eating one of their famous hotdogs the day it was announced that Marilyn Monroe had passed. Aug. 1962. Palatka was a lot smaller city at that time and Angel's was the place to go. I'm glad to see that it is still there and people are still enjoying it.

I was just here yesterday for breakfast which i love. So I decided 2 do lunch today which was also good I didn't even remember 2 take a picture. I did a cheeseburger platter. The burger was so fresh and juicy. I ordered a dirty soda which something different it was tasty also. The customer service was pleasant and everyone was so nice. Made me feel at home.
The frog legs are delicious, and the wait isn’t too long. The decor is great for any oldies like me.

We’ve stopped a number of times for burgers and fries or onion rings. Being the oldest dinner it has its own unique place however we’ll pass on the special chicken Tuesday or what ever day the special chicken is served. Pieces were small and well done to the point of dryness. Never had any problems with service but the food is medium to ok.
