Mr Tyrone and his crew stepped up and catered my son’s funeral for the community of Putnam County. There was no definite number on the amount of guests who would be attending the repast but that didn’t stop them from taking on the challenge. Everything was great! As soon as they ran out of food the first round, they were ready with a second round of different food choices. Everyone I spoke to had nothing but great things to say and really enjoyed the food. I’m extremely grateful and proud of our community for coming together in my family’s time of need. Heart and Soulfood Eatery made one of the worst days of my life a little easier and stress free during the repast. I give them a 10/10 and HIGHLY recommend anyone in the area to check them out or if you see their food truck, stop and grab a plate to go. Thank you, thank you, thank you again. I’m forever grateful! ??

I had eaten with Chef Tyrone on his food truck a couple of times; I was excited when I found out they had opened a restaurant. Hand lunch there today; quite possibly the BEST fried catfish I've ever had. Everything was great: the mac n cheese, as well as the yams. I'll definitely be back again. Thank you Chef for a wonderful lunch.

They have good food, but I'd say management is lacking. Had eaten there a couple of times and decided to call in for a takeout order. After placing the order on the phone I was asked "okay I got all that, now can you text me your order?" Which I thought was odd, but whatever, so I texted the order in and everything seemed good to go for me to go pickup the food.
About 20 minutes into my drive out there (I live about 30 mins away) I get a text message saying "We have ribs and brisket, which one do you want?" Mind you, ribs and brisket was not something I ordered at all, and this was after not only calling in the order but also texting it in. There was no "hey sorry we're out of everything you ordered even though 20 minutes ago we told you everything was good to go, would you like something else?" Just a simple "here's what you're going to get, so what's it going to be?"
Needless to say I ignored them and drove back home and went elsewhere for dinner. Never been back ever since and, for the most part, don't plan on it. It's just unprofessional.

I had the 2 meats and 2 sides (I like to eat lol). The catfish was good and it had flavor...It didn't need the sauce it came with ...it was that good. The jerky chicken was excellent. The plantains were good. Mac n Cheese .....Loved it. I will be back to try the oxtails. They're only served on certain days. In my opinion the food was good. I don't think any place close by can touch their catfish. I didn't get any dessert (definitely next time). I'd try the place out for yourself. And the price was fair. Don't knock it until you try it. Support our local businesses.

This is some of the food best food I’ve had in the greater Saint Augustine area. The jerk chicken was full of flavor, juicy and tender. The rice and cabbage were so good, too! I ate every last bit and wanted more.

ordered and wasn't met with exactly a friendly face. got pulled pork with mac and cheese and rice. mac and cheese and rice were dry, i came earlier in the day so i could tell it was from yesterday or the day before. pork was okay only because it was drowning in sauce

Disappointing experience. The woman who took our order wasn't helpful or even friendly. She acted annoyed when my husband asked if the meal came with rice (it doesn't but you can get it as one of your sides) and didn't even ask if I wanted sauce on my brisket before she poured sauce all over (probably because it was dry). The greens were good, but that was the best part of the meal. I can get better food and much better service elsewhere. $55 for two dinners and no alcohol. I wouldn't mind the price if the food was outstanding and the service was friendly. Sadly, it wasn't.

In the era of Social Media, it's a courtesy to customers ( and potential customers) to announce schedule changes on Facebook.Will try again, but definitely call ahead!
