The name of the restaurant has changed to Osaka. Hopefully google will be able to update with the name and new menu soon but my experience at this new location has been wonderful. From it's previous form as Meshi I was sure about ordering sushi but was blown away by how fresh and delightful the food was for a it being new to the location on the menu. As well as some of the favorites from the old menu still being include in the redesign of the menu, such as a vegetarian Ramen my partner got. The wait staff was super attentive and friendly. During mid lunch waited less then 5 min for the appraiser and maybe less then 15 for all meals to be sent out including our boba teas. Will be back again!

We're so sad Meshi Ya is closing at the end of this month. Our Tonkotsu ramens were delicious and our bobas were perfect.? We'll miss this place.

Great takoyaki and taro boba tea! Ordered from this place all throughout the pandemic when they still had their takeout drive up window. Now that the dining room is open again we’ll be coming back to dine in more often!

We "found" this place due to our daughter's recommendation. Very happy with everything, including the price/value. Great food, great service and awesome atmosphere. Passing the recommendation on.....Vegetarian options: Many choices for vegetarians.

My wife and i had lunch there today and were very impressed. The food was delicious and the employees were very nice, polite and efficient. Just another to add to our list of 5 star restaurants (there aren't many).

I almost missed the spot, but Google Maps reassured me it was the location. Got the Katsu Chicken Curry Don!!! It was delicious!! Taro Boba Tea for dessert. Staff was hella friendly and helped with local questions as well.Recommendation to the restaurant: would put a bright sign or more signage. Many love boba tea!!I would definitely go back!!

The quality of food and service here is awesome! My girlfriend and I come here every once in a while and have never been disappointed! Ramen is always very flavorful and topped with delicious tea eggs and other goodies. Boba here is always good, it's pretty hard to find something here that isn't amazing!

I always forget this place is here despite working in the area. Great little ramen shop! The tonkotsu is not overly powerful in flavor but is exceptionally clean and delicious. That’s not to say it isn’t excellent—The flavors are very well balanced and I really like the way they do their pork. Thinly sliced and with a nice sear on it making it easy to eat yet flavorful. Check it out!

We love the boba and food here!!! My kids beg for both! The original milky with agar popping bubbles is amazing!!!!

I use Meshi Ya for take out. I love their shrimp dumplings or Sumai The pork buns are also very good. My interaction with the staff is limited to placing my order and picking up. They've been very friendly and the food is served timely. I've never eaten inside but it appears clean and well organized.

Don't do it. Seriously, save your time and money. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen which came with bland broth, 2 paper thin slices of pork belly that were literally thinner than a potato chip. It also had 2 paper thin slices of fish cake that were smaller than a quarter, half an egg, some mushrooms and scallions, and literally .25c worth of dried bagged/boxed ramen. It was really awful. My husband got the seafood ramen for $16, which came with the same bland broth, boxed ramen, 2 very small skin on shrimp, 3 scallops the size of my pinky finger nail, and a small piece of fake crab. We got the vegetable croquette to share but which had no vegetables at all, it was just deep fried, overly greasy, mashed potatoes with panko breading. Lastly, we got the strawberry boba tea with tapioca, but they were out of the strawberry cream so it was basically just tea with tapioca. I've lived in Seattle and Chicago where we had great ramen and I was so looking forward to having some great ramen here but this was beyond disappointing. I called the manager to let him know about our experience and he didn't say anything except to admit that it was dried box ramen, and he asked if we wanted a refund. It sure explains why there was not a patron in the restaurant at 630pm on a Sunday evening. Seriously, go elsewhere.

Their food is very Japanese style from flavor to presentation. If you want to experience what foods are like in local JP raman and rice bowl restaurants, this is a good place to go. My favorite are popcorn chicken, raman, curry rice bowl, croquette.

I’ve been trying to find a good ramen place in Melbourne and sadly this is not it.This ranks extremely low in ramen that I’ve had. I thought this place was good due to the reviews but once you look at them they’re a lot of 5 stars reviews with barely any descriptions. The broth is very under developed, extremely thin and not flavorful whatsoever. To top it off they charge 13$ for the tonkatsu ramen and completely skimp you on the pork belly. They serve you the smallest thinnest slice of pork belly I’ve ever had, it was basically deli meat. I’ve never been served such a thin piece of pork belly in my life and I’ve been to plenty of ramen restaurants. The tonkatsu’s broth which is supposed to be rich and creamy (due to the collagen extracted from the pork bones) was about as thin as water.I also ordered the pork belly buns for 7$ and again was also served the two thinnest slices of pork belly. I uploaded pictures so that you can see it yourself and take your money to a place that actually gives you what you should be getting for your hard earned money
