The Shack Riverfront Restaurant & Outback Tiki bar

I visited for Sunday lunch with my aunt and cousins and ordered the lobster mac and cheese for $42. It came with a Caesar salad, but the salad was brown, wilted, and slimy. We brought it to our server Jess’s attention, and I politely asked if I could substitute it with soup instead. She said she could only offer another salad since it was a complimentary item that came with the meal. To make matters worse, my aunt also received a salad—and there was a fly in hers. 🤮 After being served something so unappetizing, why would we want more of the same? What made the situation even more frustrating was that we asked to speak with a manager, and no one ever came to our table. No apology. No acknowledgment. No resolution. This was an incredibly disappointing experience. Since it was ignored in person, I brought it publicly on Google Reviews. And the response I received made my jaw drop. So here I am following up on your response. Your public response stated that the item was removed from my bill, but I have the receipt—and it was not. That’s now a second layer of dishonesty added to the poor service. There was no refund, no management interaction, and no accountability. Very disappointing across the board. I do not recommend.

I give 1 star because my 10yr daughter say the fries were good. The almost $50 lobster ravioli is not a lobster ravioli but a cheese ravioli with very little lobster sprinkled a crossed the top. The sauce was so salty I could not eat it. My husband order some fried shrimp appetizer that were mushy and flavor less. My daughter’s Mac N Cheese was completely dry and chalky. The stuffed mushrooms we had as an appetizer were flavorless and could have been microwaved but seemed to be something you would find in the frozen food section of the grocery store. They gave us a discount and did removed some items of our bill but even after all that it was still almost $80 without a tip. Needless we would not be returning. Not worth the money or the view in our opinion.

1st time here and it was for the Mothers Day brunch - 2pm seating - 3 adults and 2 kids. We were brought to our table by 2:10 and left by 2:45. Why such a quick meal? They were out of so many things by the last seating OR they never even had some of the options to begin with (this was confirmed with some staff when we showed them a print out of the options and they said “we didn’t even have that today”. How can you change $49 per adult and $29 per kid and leave the last brunch seating with scrap. The dessert and fruit section and flies all over everything, the food was cold or not cooked well (pancakes were rock hard). Despite complaining to Mary and despite our entire party of 5 eating the equivalent of 1 plate of food, they still charged us $140. Sure we got a small discount, but $140 for a plate of food, 1 glass of wine, a beer and a Moscow mule. Poor customer service to go along with even worse planning. Not to mention we ended up spending even more $ to take our business elsewhere after this failed Mother’s Day treat. I wanted to love this place because of the reviews but this was a huge flop.

Waited to order drinks from the bar only to be ignored by numerous bartenders. Came for the band until kids took up the dance floor almost 10pm and it was not the place for young children. First and last time for me! 👎🏻

retracting my good comments. want to see my $26 stuffed flounder? it wouldn't feed a small child. they should be embarrassed.

Best music best food best service my favorite get away in the water

we ordered spinach dip with chips (about 3/4 of a cup) $15, ran out of dip way before chips, not worth that. ordered the breaded shrimp $19 and coconut shrimp $21 "dinners", online photos show with fries, waitress says no side included just the 7 "jumbo" shrimp (super market large shrimp is what you can expect). shrimp weren't bad, not worth 3 bucks a bite though. Added Cole slaw as sides $4.50 ea. in about what a side of mayo would come in. Most totally tasteless slaw I have ever eaten. we had a total of 3 draft shock top. plastic cup @ maybe 12-13 ozs. in each, 25 bucks. thats @ $8.33 a beer, bill came in at $103. Added insult to injury is the Electronic bill tip amount starts at 20%. (yes you can assign "other"). I understand the "everything is more expensive right now" excuse, but we walked out of there feeling ripped off. I will definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will go out of my way to tell people to stay away from this place. The epitome of a Tourist Trap. I have no idea how this place gets a 80 something percent rating here on Facebook, unless that's a negative rating.

Too loud and the service lacks food to terrible

Do not valet your vehicle here! They will do burnouts in your vehicle. They'll also punish you if you don't use their service and block you in. Just avoid this place and go somewhere else for a better experience

I always bring guests in town with me here. this visit was no exception of the awesome service and food. Kim was our server and she was extremely attentive and pleasant. We will be back soon !

Awesome riverfront bar restaurant! Went on Saturday evening and they had a live band that was awesome. The food was amazing as was our server, Mary! Would highly recommend for a fun evening out!

The beautiful river views are certainly a site to be had while dining n drinking! We enjoyed the strawberry balsamic salad with glazed pecans and we added blackened chicken. The cheese curds were also good. The lobster bisque was a little salty and too much sherry for my taste but the drinks were poured well and the chocolate cake shot a delicious after meal drink! I'd recommend requesting a cocktail napkin or coaster in the humid florida weather.
We enjoy seeing Ellen and The Phoenix band on the 3rd Friday of the month!
It was a pleasure meeting Dottie too....I heard she's the unofficial mayor!

Good service. Great views of Indian River with pelicans. Love the coconut shrimp, but hated the pina colada sauce. Get the mango habanero sauce instead. All side vegetables were overcooked/dry. Stick with french fries.

The food and service was great; however, upon arriving the valet attendant would not stop arguing with my wife and I because I refused to valet park. He told me to park across the street. I explained that I am a Veteran with a disability and where are their handicap spots. The kid continued to argue with me and badger me. Shitty way to run a business. I filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office.
