Tropical Smoothie is already great, but Mikey seriously took it to another level. After a long, exhausting day of riding motorcycles, we pulled up absolutely wiped, and this man saved us. He was super chill, super friendly, and made our smoothies perfectly. They hit so hard and instantly quenched our thirst — exactly what we needed.

Mikey’s energy honestly made our day way better. You can tell he actually cares and enjoys what he’s doing, which makes the whole experience awesome. Great drinks, great vibes, and top-tier service. If Mikey’s working, you already know it’s gonna be a good visit.

Around 11:50 AM–12:20 PM on Friday, 01/23/2026, I experienced an accessibility issue as a Deaf customer at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, 1520 S Babcock Street, #A.

When asked to enter my name, I entered “Deaf” so staff would know to use a visual method instead of calling my name. The cashier ignored this and put a different name (Bonnet ) on my order without my consent. As a result, I waited a long time while names were called out that I could not hear, and the name on my cup did not match what I requested. This was confusing, frustrating, and embarrassing.

I am proud to be Deaf. Please respect Deaf customers’ accessibility needs and do not change names or labels without permission. Staff need better training on using visual communication.

I ordered a “PB protein Crunch” and they rung up a Peanut butter banana flat bread. As soon as it came out I told them that isn’t what I ordered and they said she misheard and that if I wanted it I would have to reorder the PB protein crunch?? After I wasted $8 on something I did not order. This is unacceptable. No refund. No remake. No Solution. For a mistake that was not my fault.

They are all too miserable to care. Didn't even bother greeting me. 5 minutes standing around on my lunch break. They need to wake up.

Smoothies are great but goodness gracious God forbid you actually go in and expect these people to do their jobs 😐 doesn't matter what time I come in, I could give the simplest order with the warmest smile and these people respond like making a smoothie is gonna take 10 years off their life. Hiding in the back until I say something when I come in, dirty looks when they come out, no words spoken except the total 🙄 not even an attempt at customer service

One person working. Owner nowhere to be found. Half an hour , wait for ten dollars , smoothie. This place just need shut down..... the owner is a joke

Only 2 employees so the wait was very long.

Awful done through uber eats… ordered one with bananas and one with strawberry and pineapple. I’m allergic to bananas and couldn’t eat this. Got both with bananas so couldn’t eat my dinner. Ruined experience

Great smoothies and a great place for a healthy smoothie! Facility was nice and clean and everything came out fast! The flavors are always amazing! Dana Fox was great and extremely friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back and have been here many times!

I was here about 7 or 8 months ago because my daughter lives here in Florida. I came in looking for their manger Deon. I was informed that he wasn't working there anymore because the old area manager never gave him a chance. It was crazy that the cashier said that the rumor was that Deon had so much more experience than Pam, that she just never really trained him and felt that tropical smoothie hired him to replace her (Pam). So she forced him out. I was appalled. Deon gave us the best customer service ever at tropical smoothie. It's a shame that this Pam did this guy like she did. I hope that Deon is doing well. It's so unfortunate that most restaurants in Florida don't have black male lead managers. And me and Deon talked about this same thing. He said that he never worried about that but it's very noticeable throughout this state. It was obvious that this Pam lady didn't care for him. Good luck to Deon, I agree with those 3 girls. Deon didn't deserve that. So this will be my last visit and the last time that I wait 30 minutes for a flatbread and a smoothie. Maybe you guys should find Deon.
