Cafe Boulud provides a refined dining experience with exquisite food and a beautiful atmosphere, especially in the stunning courtyard. The duck dish is a must-try, prepared to a perfect mid-rare and topped with a thin, seared skin that pairs beautifully with carrot puree and a mellow ginger gastrique. The prime strip steak is tender and melts in the mouth, served with tender asparagus and hollandaise, satisfying any steak craving. The watermelon and prosciutto salad with brown butter and tarragon makes an excellent starter, while broccolini with garlic and chili offers a balanced mix of roasted garlic and a hint of chili with a smooth, sweet, and savory flavor. The restaurant has an elegant, subtle interior with a clean and inviting look, creating a relaxed atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The staff is attentive, professional, and friendly, from the chef to the hostess, showing excellent training and care. The octopus appetizer over hummus and chickpeas was fantastic, and dishes like crispy paupiette of sea bass and wagyu steak received high praise for their flavor and texture. The bread, made with naturally gluten-free flour, was considered exceptional. Cocktails prepared by the bartender were incredible and among the most delicious tasted recently. However, some items like the sardines appetizer, which included only one sardine, and tasteless french fries were disappointing. Despite some service issues such as occasional rushing and inattentiveness, the overall experience is highly recommended for special celebrations or memorable meals. Cafe Boulud remains a place where attention to detail and quality shine through.
