Mizu is Closed even though they take reservations. They said they are looking for a chef but you can stay and eat at Brandons!!!!!!

Our food was good (not spectacular or great, but good) however the service was extremely slow. I won’t say it was BAD service because our server was friendly and overall good, but it seemed they may have been understaffed. We waited a very long time for everything from taking our drink orders to water refills (which finally came after the meals) to the food itself. It was over an hour from the time we ordered our sushi which was only two rolls and a hand roll to the time it was served. We were one of only a couple customers so it didn’t seem due to a mad rush of people ordering at once. Our meal from start to finish was over two hours, and the majority of that time was simply waiting around. The view of the ocean is beautiful which is the only reason we didn’t leave because of the wait - we were okay to relax and enjoy the view, but it really was excessive. In addition the prices are overall high for what you actually get. The premium price did not match the experience.

Food-5⭐️Ambiance-5⭐️Price/value-4⭐️Service-4⭐️Menu selection-5⭐️If I’m rating this restaurant strictly on the food, taste, presentation, it’s 100% a 5 star restaurant! But, it can be a little pricey, and the service is pretty slow. I feel that the restaurant, as well as Brandon’s and the bar (where you can also order your sushi), is all understaffed. When we arrived at the bar at 3:30 there was one lady working behind the bar, and she was also running to the restaurant (Brandon’s) to wait on people! So it’s difficult to give people much attention when you’re stretched so thin.We came back after 7 to have dinner. They don’t open until 5pm.I ordered the shrimp “handy”. It’s tempura shrimp wrapped in white rice paper, with rice and avocado. It was delicious!!! I was going to share with my hubby but it was so good! Sorry honey! My husband had the miso soup. It had A LOT of green onions in it. I like that, but he didn’t.Then we shared the sashimi platter. It’s 20 pieces of sashimi with a roll (wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber). It was the perfect amount for 2 people to share. We were both full afterwards. Every piece was perfect. It had 4 pieces of tuna, 4 of salmon, yellowtail, and wahoo.I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, my husband had a Moscow mule. They were both excellent. Then we had the salted caramel gelato for dessert.A 20% gratuity is automatically included. Our bill was $180 altogether.

I had heard from people that Mizu was home to the best Sushi that they had ever had, and boy were they right! You could feel the chef-inspired influences and 'love' that went into each dish that we had a Mizu, plus, it was so, so fresh. We had the Crunchy Spicy Tuna starter, Tempura Shrimp, as well as the Mizu, Emperor, and Atlantic specialty rolls. We also tried some of their amazing desserts! Everything was amazing! Mizu also has an amazing Sake selection that we will definitely try next time. Executive chef Gary Mawu is a culinary genius - you definitely need to check this place out!

Chef Gary is the MAN! I would come back to this hotel just to have his food…been eating sushi for the past 30 years…live in Miami (fish is our thing)! I will follow Chef Gary anywhere…including Chef Eric—Ocean Reef Club and Reimon Choi—Private Chef…my Hall of Fame Sushi Chefs! Definitely go Omakase with Chef Eric

Met a long-time colleague for dinner on a very quiet Monday night in January. Sat at the bar and ordered sushi which was very good. We each had a Sapporo, but when we each ordered a second beer we were told the bar has no more left. Thought it was a little strange for an Asian-themed restaurant. We decided on a different beverage, finished dinner, and got the bill… if I go again I’ll be sure to arrive before dark since apparently we were also paying for the view. Not that the restaurant is open to suggestions, but if they were I’d recommend a separate bar menu (where there never is much of a view), but I suppose the sushi restaurant is mostly for the resort guests.

Being that I’m from New York and we have some of the best sushi restaurants, I was craving a nice sushi date with my boyfriend. We were staying at the Four Seasons which is directly next door to Mizu so we thought “why not”. We were excited that a simple short walk next door would seemingly cure our sushi craving—but we were wrong.Upon looking at them menu we were excited that they had quite an extensive sushi menu which pleasantly surprised us. One thing we did notice while walking past the sushi bar was the Itamae was extremely young ( mid/early 20s). My boyfriend mentioned this was a red flag being that any skilled sushi chef should have around 5-10 years experience under their belt before practicing the art of sushi preparation. But I digress. We proceeded to place our order: salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, yellow tail nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. We did request the tuna toro but they were out, which lead the waitress to suggest uni…we both found this to be a strange suggestion in place of tuna toro. When the sushi arrived we noticed the nigiri was prepared extremely poorly. The slices of fish were way too thick and too long for the bed of rice they sat upon. The salmon was tough, chewy and not of good quality. The tuna was mediocre at best. Neither of us tried the yellowtail as it had a very peculiar smell. The spicy tuna roll came wrapped in rice paper hand roll style which we weren’t expecting—this also was not detailed on the menu.We ordered around 6 pieces of nigiri and only ate 2.5 of them before we decided to leave. It took around 10 mins for us to get the check because our waitress was divulging in long conversations with other guests. There’s nothing wrong with that but being that I waitressed in the past I know you’re suppose to give equal attention to all guests. We eventually flagged down another member from the staff who brought us our check and cashed us out.Now here’s the best part: I teased my boyfriend about us getting food poisoning, he said “no way we’ll be fine”. Here we both are the following morning with awful stomach pain and practically unable to venture too far from the restroom. Use your imagination.Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially their sushi selection. Dine at your own risk.

Treat yourself to an intimate dinner at the sushi bar with Omakase (surprise me) where Chef Gary Mawu presents dishes of his choice, each one better than the last. He pairs Asian flavors with unexpected ingredients, his extraordinary palate and creative genius always results in a spectacular dinner. Check out his Instagram page.

Incredible. I would give it 100 stars if I could. Gary the chef is a delight to talk to and he makes incredible omakase and sushi in general. Well priced and everyone was delight! I don’t like palm beach but i would come back here exclusively for this sushi!

Mizu is an incredible hidden gem and the head chef Gary is an incredible artist who offered us free tastes of The hamachi is the best I have ever had.

Been coming to Palm Beach for years but this was my first time at Mizu. It was OUTSTANDING!!! The seafood is some of the freshest I’ve ever had and the staff is beyond accommodating. I usually don’t write reviews but this hidden gem is a must go-to!!!
