A lovely setting, however, service was terrible starting with the hostess that had a "deer in the headlight look" when the table we reserved wasn't available. When we finally got a table, it took forever for a waiter to appear and take drink orders, then another "forever" to take our dinner order. The menu was very limited. The prime rib actually came out cold. When the waiter brought it back reheated it was rubbery. Coffee was also served cold and the chocolate chip cookies tasted store bought. Have eaten there in years past, but won't go back again.

We were expecting great things based on the rating and Valentine's Day. My husband and I started with Avocado toast. Which was delicious. We lost our waitress, Maria and someone else took our meal order. We got our salads. I ordered mine as my main but assumed the main for my husband would arrive shortly. We then watched all the other tables get served. Finally Maria returned to ask how our meal was. I told her I never got my fries and my husband didn't even get his meal. She quickly got the meal out and apologized and offered to purchase desserts. She was very sweet and concerned. However the lack of service and mediocre food will not make us regulars.

The obvious first. Sitting poolside is the most pleasant dining geography in PB, and when Marlene is tending bar, the cocktails are top rate. But the kitchen has fallen significantly from its halcyon days. At dinner, telling were the toast points served with the steak tartare: limp, old, inedible. The beef itself prepped table side was mashed rather than mixed, and was densely devoid of oxygen. Nor were we asked by the very pleasant server to what degree we wanted it spiced. Meanwhile, at the next table, a customer sent his steak back for the third time! [See Jason E below.] At brunch, the service was haphazard, with our waiter disappearing for long swatches of time. We had to ask the captain to have someone clear the table. Seemed to us that there were captains galore strutting about but not doing much managing. In fairness, the omelette station was excellent and the buffet table served superb cold shrimp. They have just redecorated the hotel. Now management should redo the staff in the dining room and kitchen from top to bottom to bring the restaurant back to its high level of yore. Final note: why the bar TV is playing a historical bible epic at dinner hour is a complete puzzler and indicative of the lack of thinking that currently dominates this beautiful room. Turn off the tube in such a high status joint!

Clearly an upscale boutique hotel dining room. The walls are murals of polo scenes, and the seating outside, around the pool creates a soothing environment. Our service was professional, the menu diverse, and the food very good. Valet parking and a full bar are offered.

Sorry Yelpers. Don't bother. What's the rule when you walk in a restaurant and there is nobody else there? Turn around and walk out. Should have. Can't even get a steak cooked medium. First time over cooked- next time charred on the outside and raw on the inside. $20 for 4 shrimp cocktail ( was good) and $15 for a martini. No thanks. Had to go to Capital Grille the night after to satisfy the steak craving.

Are you 60+, like to dance to awful cover bands and lost all sense of taste? Then this place is for you. If none of the above...stay away.

Located in The Colony Hotel, this restaurant is nearly as spectacular as it's location. Straight to the point, the food was fantastic. It was very hard to make a decision, needless to say. I highly recommend their Maine Lobster Bisque with aged cognac. I will probably dream about that bisque for the next few weeks. I cannot say enough of the restaurant's staff. Always on hand, two at a time, almost subconsciously connected to quell my every whim. They appeared whenever my cocktail was empty, but not a second before. Adjacent to the Royal Room (one of the top five cabaret venues in the country), you're guaranteed a sneak peek of the night's performers after each show. I started planning my next visit before we ever left... ps- jacket required.
