With the latest round of restaurant closures, I find myself trying as many iconic spots, on my wish list, as possible. Yesterday we did just that at BUCCAN located in WPB for a 5pm opening reservation. I'm a huge fan of Chef Clay Conley’s Grato so I was eager to experience his flagship. I can see why Buccan is recommended in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide w/their inventive, bold, local flavors. The space is approachable, sophisticated yet unpretentious, as is the impeccable team. Seth gave us the run down of the menu, including the new & improved and the oldie but goodie. We started w/Hamachi Tiradito, light & bright. Baby Artichoke Caponata, earthy & smoky. Corn Agnolotti (think creamy stuffed fresh pasta), sweet & savory. I appreciated the little touches like every dish was served consecutively instead of all at once, cocktail napkins provided w/out asking & the changing of silverware between dishes. Truth be told, I picked this last night as it was the end of season for "Fried Chicken Sundays” w/all the fixin’s. Well I'm glad I was better late to the party than never because it was all that and more!!! crispy skin, succulent chicken, silky mashed potatoes, rustic collard greens, kettleminded bbq beans and to soak it all up…jalapeno cheddar biscuit. Honestly the only things better were their home made chocolate chip cookies w/sea salt and drum roll…Bananas Foster Butter Cake with banana-rum ice cream 🤤 I live for a restaurant's Mic drop moments and Bravo BUCCAN got theirs 🎤 👏🏻

I went for my birthday dinner and overall it was a very good experience. I found the appetizers to be better quality and value than the main dishes. The steak tartare is a must try!

There's a reason this place is on every Palm Beach itinerary and "must-do" list, and that reservations are tough to get! Lovely ambience, amazing food and drinks. They have a lot of appetitzers/small plates and their pastas come in small and large, and our server told us that she recommend ordering multiple smaller items to split, which was perfect! Every item we had was off the charts. 10/10.

When a fantastic spot like Buccan sends you an email that they are running “Chef’s Fried Chicken Sundays w/ All the Fixins” I went right to Open Table to book the next available Sunday. One order (4 pieces) is served with small bowls of Mashed w/Gravy, Collard Greens, BBQ Baked Beans, and a Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuit. It’s an offering in addition to the regular menu, only on Sundays during the summer months… so if you want to try it, get on it immediately. Buccan was packed (as always) when I arrived at 6pm last Sunday. Started with glasses of Gavi, La Scolca 2023, bone dry, clean, no flaws… and Chablis, Domaine Des Charmes 2023.. more structure, mineral, light floral. The Tuna Crisps are a must, the perfect way to start your meal here. The Hot Dog Panini is a fun dish, perfectly cooked. They get the outside panini cooked to a crispy/chewy texture… really interesting, recommend getting for the table to share… 4 pieces. Don’t overlook the small ramekin of Chili served with it, so fantastic. The Fried Chicken served with the small bowls of sides, described above, is great. The chicken, cooked to order and piping hot, is really juicy… 2 white and 2 dark. Loved it. For red wine, enjoyed the Sensi Mantello, a Super Tuscan, available by the glass. The Bananas Foster Butter Cake w/ graham cracker streusel and banana-rum ice cream is a thing of beauty. I’ve been thinking about it since my last visit. So moist, perfect combination of flavors on the plate. Service is always great here. Daniel F took great care of us… personable and a real pro. The valets are the best, super fast and professional. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This take out window creates incredible sandwiches and on Wednesday's serves them with fresh cut fries. The cuban 2.0 sandwich is probably one of the best cubans I've had in my life. Highly recommend and they have a simple website online to order and its convenient.
Buccan beef carpaccio Sammy is so good it’s like scoring the sandwich lottery every day. So damn good.

Buccan sandwich shop is a staple for anyone coming into town to visit and a favorite for anyone who goes. The bread is perfect and the sandwiches are all delicious! Cookies, pickle and their teas are all must try items. The sandwich shop is also smaller and has a genuine vibe that makes it even more special.
