The exhaust fan is broken. Billowing smoke within the restaurant. Very surprised they remained open. We walked out, will return when the exhaust hood is functioning again

Dominic's Deli is one of my favorite places. They have delicious soups, soups, and salads.Dominic's also has awesome slices of different cakes that's very hard to pass up.It's a wonderful place to meet for lunch. It has something for everyone.

I was going to make a phone call first, just to allow them the opportunity to explain…. But I don’t have time to listen to more lies and lame excuses. As a native, I have been a customer of Dominic’s since they opened. Always amazing food, service and atmosphere. We truly miss Minor and some very long time employees who have moved on.Today, we witnessed some of the biggest health code violations I have ever seen and it sealed the “no return” deal for us.We walked in to every table dirty (ok, so they may have had a rush), but the kid wiping tables and cleaning the floor was also the food runner. I watched intently after they called for “runner” as he touched the food plates/ silverware with dirty gloves. Absolutely disgusting! So I said something to the staff to which one of them lied to my face saying he changed his gloves. First mistake…. Lying to my face. He looked shady anyway, but just admit your mistake and correct it. That is what good management does. No one wants food served with filthy hands/ gloves. Plus it is a huge health risk. The positive of this experience was the girls taking orders were super friendly and had warm smiles. We asked for our money back (left the tip in the jar) as I refused to eat anything touched by filthy gloves. (Our food had not been delivered yet). This is unacceptable in a restaurant environment, maybe a food safety handling course needs to be mandatory for the employees.Very sad that Dominic’s Deli has lost its charm. The food has always been good and the place always seemed clean. The last few times we have gone in have been questionable. Today was down right disgusting and unsanitary! Huge fail, we won’t be returning!! Hopefully this review will be vital in making some needed changes, to bring back the Dominic’s we loved.

Sandwiches are a good size so you shouldn't be hungry after eating. As for flavor, I could not really taste the flavors of the sauces and veggies. There was a alot of meat that is overpowering the flavor combination. Overall it's more like a big sandwich you can make at home. Price was pretty high for a pretty basic

Bums rush by the staff January 23rd 2024 @3:29pm guest 35. Noticed no one else in the place and placed our orders. Was sitting outside on steel cables (see photos), went inside to make sure outdoor seating was available and the girl said "yes". 2 employees came outside holding our food when one asked my wife to confirm what we order. She did, instead of setting the food down, the employess asked "Whats your customer number". Thats not usual, we've been to the location in Daytona several times and they never even asked for a receipt let alone a "customer number" for crying out loud! Of course she put the receipt in her pocketbook so she said "we are the only person in the entire restaurant, are you saying we haven't paid for our food?" He then persisted "Can I see your receipt please"My wife finds the receipt and proceeds to read the number off the (male) and while doing so he walked behind her (food tray still in hand) and leaned over her shoulder uncomfortably like she was lying. They confirm and set the food down.....no explaination, no "thank you" or "we apologize for the inconvenience", no "can we get you anything else?" and certainly no "enjoy your meal".Then, while sitting outside, my wife noted there were no napkins. Got up and tried to use the outside door... the door was locked. Signaled to the staff who simply motioned "go around to the front". That was it, you are now going out of your way to make your guests uncomfortable. When speaking to the employees to ask what my family did to treat a paying guest like this they simply denied everything instead of apologizing.....the one girl completely blew me off saying "ok sir, you have a nice day" in hopes I would simply leave. Sad because we frequent both the Palm Coast as well as the Daytona Beach locations and never experienced anything like this.....in ANY food establishment....full stop!
