Places is exceptional. Croissants and croissant sandwiches are exquisite, fresh pasta is outstanding, and early arrival is recommended for optimal selection. Incredible sandwiches. Bakery is addictive, and the barista is extraordinary. Lovely establishment, my new favorite gem. I anticipate returning in the fall.
1st visit and it won't be the last! Delicious.
Everything is amazing! Sweetest owners! Everything made with love, you can taste it! Every time I eat here, it transports me to a little European cafe!♥️♥️♥️
One of the best places I have ever patroned. Everything is divine & you can really feel the love in each product. You will never be unhappy with a bagel; so many sesame seeds are incredible as is their Semolina Loaf. You don't need to close your eyes when you taste the Morning buns, but it surely 'takes you away.!' Each sandwich is made with love and care, I smiled while one was being made and there was no rush, just love in the making of it. Gourmet products line the shelves as well as nice cheeses, etc. You are going to have fun here! Update 12/13/24: Bagels will probably be a feature once per month. They ARE very time consuming! Fresh pasta is in their glass case, too. There are real benefits to following Freida's site. ❤️
Made a special trip to this place. We had an appointment that ran late so we made it ten minutes before closing. I am the type of person who knows pretty much what i want and have researched everything before even going somewhere. There was one customer being waited on very slowly. One older gentleman and a lady running the store that i saw. They had a few pastries and croissants left so i asked what we needed to get. (As in, what’s your specialty?) I got “more like whats left.” No other dialogue. Okay, i get it. Its almost closing and you want to go home.
We waited several minutes before they were done with the lady in front of us. Maybe not in such a hurry after all? While we are waiting, two ladies come in that are obviously regulars. They say how hungry they are and ask if there are any sandwiches left. Nope. Now mind you, we haven’t even really been spoken to yet. A different guy comes out of the back and excitedly starts listing off all these things he can make them. Sandwiches, sliced meats, etc. Now its finally my turn and the lady barely speaks to me. i get the last two morning buns, a cinnamon roll, a latte and a jar of peppers. She never acknowledged my two sisters or asked them if they wanted anything and just started helping the other two women.
Service? Awful. Maybe they don’t need new business. Just really disappointing to make a special trip out of our way and be treated like this. My sister spoke up about it on the way out the door and left a review, which the owner promptly responded to, totally invalidated her experience and defended their poor business practices. What’s really sad is that she just got diagnosed with cancer- we just came from an appointment and were rushing to get here. This is the kind of place she loves. She would be a customer for life and tell everyone to go. We were really excited.
The cinnamon roll was good, but nothing special. Buttery caramel, nice rich cream cheese frosting, but the roll itself was on the dry side for me and not much flavor.
The morning bun had a nice hint of orange essence. The bottom was lovely. Chewy and buttery. The top was dry.
The latte was delicious.
I haven’t tried the peppadews yet, but they look pretty straightforward.
We were visiting from Saint Augustine with my sister from Montana. Our niece highly recommended. We rushed to make it before closing, asked what was good, were told "more like what is left." We waited patiently as the customer before us ordered multiple items requiring preparation. There are three of us; three separate customers. We were never spoken to by the guy in the back. Two women entered as my sister was being helped, the guy in the back came out, greeted them, and when they asked if there were any more sandwiches, he said no, but proceeded to suggest and prepare custom sandwiches for them. He never acknowledged us at all. I had selected what I was going to purchase, but decided not to buy anything. Extremely disappointed.
Everything was absolutely delicious!
Very and very overpriced!
Croissant is $6.50.
Plus hours of operation is only three days a week(looks like no one want to work in this city!)
Small outdoor seating which is cute but some areas have no fans pointed at them so it was hard to find a spot with some breeze in the heat. I loved my almond croissant and jam however it was overpriced by a lot for what it was. I am a big coffee drinker and that is were my review stars come from both my iced coffee and my husband hot caramel macchiato was not good. I was not impressed.
Excellent sandwichs and pastries, breads and more! Owners are very nice and accommodating.

I live a few blocks away from Freida’s Bakery. It just reopened this August after being closed for a few months. So my wife and I decided to try it today. Let’s just say good things come in small packages (the bakery is small). We had a croissant and focaccia bread. When I tried the croissant I wondered if the baker/owner was some 5 Star Michelin chef from Paris. Best croissant I ever had. Then when I tasted the focaccia I wondered if he was a renowned chef from Tuscany. So I’ve concluded that he is a baker who is heaven sent. So glad Palm Coast has a rustic, European style bakery to rival the best bakeries anywhere.
