Spent over $100 ordered 2 oxtail plates with rice and peas & macaroni and cheese, the macaroni wasn’t good at all and the rice and peas were dry and bland the oxtails were falling off the bone but not much seasoning we had to add seasoning. The only thing ate was the oxtails everything else got thrown away. Also ordered a curry goat plate with rice and peas and cabbage. The cabbage was good same thing with the rice and peas as the oxtail plate. The curry goat tasted off not like the curry goat I’m use to, we ate the cabbage and threw the rest away. The cheese patties, cocoa bread, plantains & fritter were good. Their carrot juice was also good.

Stopped by here for lunch. So excited to try the new Jamaican restaurant, but what a disappointment! We got takeout Jamaican patties and steamed vegetables. The Jamaican patties have barely any meat in them at all and they are very greasy The steamed vegetables have no flavor. Will not be going back to this restaurant. Their prices are very high and their food is terrible!!!

The establishment's hours of operation indicate that they are open on Sundays. However, I arrived at 2:00 PM on a Sunday and found the doors locked. This was quite disappointing, as I had driven approximately thirty minutes to get there and was visiting from out of town. If they are indeed closed on Sundays, it would be a simple matter to update their hours of operation. This is the reason for my negative review, and I will not waste my time attempting to visit this establishment again.

I have been eating at this restaurant for 3 to 4 times per week and I dont see anything wrong the food or the service or anything at all. I see you guys posting some comments on here which I don't agree with. I don't know this young lady from anywhere and for you guys to be bashing her like that it's very cruel and wicked. Someone says that they got 3pieces of oxtail in their meal that's a lie caz I bought oxtail meal and I never got 3 pieces of oxtail, if you got 3 pieces of oxtail y didn't you post a pic of it when the review was been written? I guess these reviews are done by people who are malicious and doesn't want her to succeed and I can also guess that these reviews were done by mostly Jamaicans or some other blacks. Y u people so wicked and badmind?

I ordered take out yesterday morning (ackee and salt fish). The portion size was good and to my surprise, the breadfruit was very delicious and fresh. I will be going back to try other things on the menu.

Visited Island Flavaz on two separate occasions....I ordered the curry goat with rice and peas and as you can see my plate was full. Second time I ordered Escovitch fish and again my plate was full. The food is amazing, I can taste the love that's put in each dish. Please keep that loving touch. I will be back soon

A friend and I stopped by this restaurant as I was new to the Palm Coast area and just wanted some island food. We stopped in about a hour before closing time, and the owner was at the counter. She barely acknowledged us. Only looked up at us once. She was busy counting the money from the cash register. She spoke under her breath each time we asked a question; which was very Annoying because we had to ask her twice to repeat herself as it was very difficult to hear her.
I explain that I am vegetarian and asked if her veggie loaf on the menu was from a canned or they made it themselves. She said “We make it here”, so I was very excited to have it because I do not like the canned processed veggie loaf. I ordered the Veggie Loaf and my friend ordered the curry goat. Everything was packaged up for us. We were not given the opportunity to examine the food before they packed it up. The two take out meals cost us almost $80. We were quite alarmed by the price but excited to try the food. Once we got back to our destination I realize that the veggie loaf was a veggie loaf from a can with some gravy on top. This was quite disappointing and upsetting because the owner herself lied to us. To make matters worse, we ordered two sides of plantains which they did not give us. I couldn’t eat the canned veggie loaf and had to toss it. As for the curry goat; my friend said it was plain and not seasoned well. As for me the service was poor and the food was bad. I will not be patronizing this establishment going forward.

Vegetarian options: They did not have much vegetarian options at the time of my visit

It’s my second time eating at Island Flavaz and the service and atmosphere were amazing. This place definitely reminded me of getting Jamaican food back down south! If you are looking to eat some true authentic Jamaican food this is the place to come and eat at. Plus the prices are very reasonable considering the amount of food you get.

Grand Opening Day was a joke. There was no organization. Was on line 30 minutes waiting to place my order. People were waiting well over 30 minutes to get their food. Decided not to wait any longer. Another day called in an order. When I went to pick up the food in the timeframe they said, I discovered they never had written down the order. Third and last effort to try the food, it was horrible. There were bones covered in sauce, which was supposed to be curry chicken. No meat whatsoever. No flavor. Rice and beans were bland. Would never go back. Three strikes. You're out. Not worth spending your money.
