I absolutely adore this place ?! It’s my favorite spot in the Tampa area! They serve amazing NY-style bagels, and my personal favorite is the Stormy. They also have trulyb aromatic, high-quality coffee. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is so cozy?.. On Fridays, they even play traditional American music. I highly recommend it!!! ?

*10/04/2024-We sure miss your family. I am all about supporting the small, local business. Not sure what took me so long to stop by this local treasure. The owner was lovely and helpful. The quality of the drink and "overnight oats" are top notch. Great job, Canes Cafe!

The service was awesome, the coffee is good, an the food was even better. If you are reading this, you should go there and try it out! Nice spot to hang out.

I have been a regular customer since opening my shop in 2020, but my experiences at this café have been increasingly disappointing.

Staffing and Service: The café is consistently understaffed, leading to long wait times and poor service. I have expressed my concerns about the opening hours; starting at 8 AM is too late for a coffee shop, yet there has been no change.

Quality of Products: I have received fermented tea on multiple occasions, indicating a lack of attention to product freshness. Additionally, there is uncertainty about the age and type of meats and cheeses offered, which raises concerns for customers with allergies.

Communication Issues: The staff’s limited English proficiency hampers effective communication with customers, which is essential in a service environment.

Product Consistency: There is a noticeable lack of basic supplies, like appropriate straws for beverages, which detracts from the overall experience. The quality of the coffee has also declined, as I received a poorly made drink that did not meet expectations.

Business Management: The café seems resistant to change and does not learn from past mistakes. Despite my prior assistance with equipment repairs, there appears to be little appreciation for such efforts.

Regulatory Compliance: I have concerns regarding the café’s expired food permit and the lack of transparency about its status.

In summary, while I hoped for improvement over the past few years, the café has failed to meet basic standards of service and product quality. I believe there is potential for growth, but significant changes are necessary to revitalize this establishment.

High quality coffee and ingredients in everything offered and made . The fresh baked brownies and cookies fill the place with a wonderful cozy home atmosphere. 🏡

My coffee was so yummy I had a hard time trying not to chug it! Their sandwiches are also so fresh, my partner and I got a pesto caprese and a Cuban. My partner said he’s been looking for a good Cuban all over and this is the spot! The pesto also tasted homemade. Bagels are from New York, I can say this place cares about quality. Staff was so friendly too and took the time to make everything delicious and presentable.

Edit to add: I think the prices are reasonable for the high quality of the food. I have definitely payed more money for smaller portions at other local spots.

Very excellent spot close to downtown and the Pinellas bike trail. Friendly staff and welcoming environment. Had a very nice mozzarella and pesto panini and fresh baked muffins!!! Drinks were spot-on and the owner, Chuck, is a gentleman of the highest order.

We stopped here on our way out of Florida for a quick breakfast and coffee. There was one woman working by herself but she was very friendly and efficient! We both got bacon egg and cheese bagels and iced coffees. While we had to wait a little bit for our food, it was highly worth it! Awesome and filling bagel, very fresh! And the coffee was delicious. Plenty of flavors and dairy free options as well. Worth a stop while in the area.

Since new ownership, this place not as use to be. A suggestion to management: by attacking costumers who left not a good reviews you are not making anything good for your business. Good luck.

That's exactly why people do reviews to let other about service and experience(not to promote your business, especially if it's not 5 out 5).
Food: 2 because ingredients a different from sandvices I had in this place(not terrible but in comparison). Coffee shots nothing special, just ok(I know what a capable professional machines in knowledgeable hands).
Service & atmosphere: 1 because, since ownership wasn't done any major improvements inside(didn't see them), attitude and way customers reviews a handled is no surprise to atmosphere.
Talking about another place, yes. "The Fix" just half a mile down the road absolutely better(not affiliated anyway)!

I'm sure you wouldn't remember who I am. The service was as I rated... and after that time I stopped coming there. My review was posted 1 year ago. It took you whole year to write a response with :"who are you?" No more comment

I ordered an iced chai tea latte and it's literally just milk. There were barely any tea in it. I had chai tea later before and it's never this white.I'm not sure if I'll get this again or should I give them another try.

Live music, clean, friendly staff and guests. Maple latte was delicious. We had a S'mores frappe and it was good too. I brought my daughtes and we enjoyed ourselves.
