We had a great first experience for my husband's birthday dinner. He chose this restaurant based on the photos of the interior decoration which is very cute and cosy.
The menu offers a lot of choices. We ordered various dishes; sashimi, sushi, rolls, tempura, and other hot and cold dishes and they were all EXCELLENT.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
This is now our favorite Japanese restaurant in the area.
We will be back.

PS. They also offer several Thai dishes which we haven't tried.... maybe next time :-)

this place is super cute, i had such a nice experience! the atmosphere and thematics are so cool, especially within the booth seating. the server and chef are very sweet, she always made sure we were taken care of and even chatted with me towards the end of my meal. i got the tonkatsu bento box and everything in it was really yummy, i left nothing behind! highly recommend for a cozy time :) reminded me of my time in japan

Went the first time a few days ago. Service was acceptable except that the lady forgot the soup to my 25 dollar chirashi. Not a lot of tables so seems hard to be unable to remember the soup. Anyway, the chirashi was delicious so went back.
Not the same sushi chef. Dont even know that there was a sushi chef. No one else in there and my 2 rolls and 30 dollar sashimi dinner took 45 minutes to be made. The fish was poorly sliced with skin. Not even fresh salmon on a sashimi plate. Inedible, the rolls were more pathetic than something at a chinese buffet. I will never be back.
I do not recommend.

This is the best sushi I have ever had. It was a 9$ roll and it changed my life. Rlly, come here. I’m not even from Tampa but got dragged here, and thank God I did. Too good I couldn’t take a pic of the sushi first, sorry.

The sushi tastes fresh and flavorful; they have interesting and unique rolls. The “Steve” roll features a spin on the traditional spicy tuna roll, it includes fresh jalapeños and a very tasty cilantro aioli sauce drizzled on top. We enjoyed the food, however, my only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars was that some of the rolls (volcano and the special abracadabra roll) are served in a donut type presentation and then the toppings are sort of heaped on top of the circle of rolls. This leads to uneven distribution of the toppings and most of it was on the plate by the time you got to the final roll. Otherwise it was delicious and service was friendly. We would return.

Good - Staff was very friendly. Smaller more intimate location.

Bad - Ordered drunken noodles, portion size was significantly smaller than any other place I've been to in the area. They also do not use the typical wide rice noodle for this dish.

Best sushi ever! Love their Pad Thai lunch box. Owners are very sweet and work hard to make sure you're taken care of.

The restaurant felt so empty on a Saturday night that we were afraid to order any raw food. Ordered safe things. Everything was good and service was good but it was just unsettling to be so empty. With sushi you wanna know that food is moved quickly.

Nice people, great food. Probably one of the best hidden gems in the Southern Part of the US....

Faceless Samurai is one of those restaurants that remind me of home. The atmosphere is inherently welcoming and familiar—like a nice cup of coffee after a long, rainy day. The waitress is very kind and attentive, and the food is incredibly delicious!

I definitely recommend trying the place whenever you get the chance!
