Stopped in Flapjacks Pancake House for the first time this morning and had a great experience!! Was greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. Had no wait and was able to choose where I would like to sit which was nice. My server, Stephanie was absolutely fantastic in her service for the entire duration of my dining time!!! She helped make menu recommendations which was excellent!!! I ordered one of the specials, the Supreme Omelette with home fried potatoes, side of sourdough toast & side of grits. The omelette was delicious and served hot!! Flavor of the food was excellent as well!!! Grits were perfect too!!! Looking forward to checking them out again sometime for some additional menu choices!! Kudos to the kitchen staff for doing an excellent job on the food!!!

We go to a new breakfast place every weekend. This time I returned to flapjacks for my third visit in 2 years. Parking is somewhat available if you're lucky you can get close to the restaurant. The staff is nice people. Seating is average. Not hard seats but not overly soft either. They serve your food in a timely manner. They are used to getting high volumes of people on the weekend. The special was a lemon berry waffle. They had one other special which was a French toast. There was no pancake special even though it's called flapjacks. The flapjacks/pancakes came out warm... Smaller size than expected for a restaurant named flapjacks. Why are they not a little bit bigger? At least for a while factor why not one or two inches larger? The flavor is average if not above average. I would tweak what the recipe to try to make this pancake more flavorful... It's good however.. there are tastier pancakes in the area. I could see that some people probably like these pancakes though. I'm a reviewer and I can tell the difference. The eggs are a decent size I appreciated that. I asked for the English muffins to be buttered and placed on the grill. Did they shrink? I think also they might have put a lot of weight on them. Sometimes these kitchens put a lot of weight on their food like potatoes if they want them well done. It takes moisture out. The bacon was okay. We like it crispy. It was kind of crispy. The point is... I think there's signature items should be a pancake since it is called flapjacks... But the specials were waffles and French toast. You should knock our socks off with the best pancake in Pinellas county. It's not. It's average.. maybe above average. You can do better. What update the bathroom. New locks new door new handle just an update would be good. How about try a different vendor for bacon. Maybe a larger thicker bacon? Something that stands out in Palm harbor? Or how about a nice sized English muffin that doesn't shrink. Anything. Look flapjacks is not a bad restaurant they just don't do anything... Special. They're on US 19 and I expect them to step up their game. They get all this traffic going by there.. could really double their business with some positive changes. Make Something stand out. Well I go back? Sure. But not till after I go to the other place that has the ultimate tasting pancakes. Hint: it's over by alternate 19. Come on flapjacks.. Don't you like some competition? 😁

Let me start by saying this business and owners went above and beyond. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing but how the owners stepped up, I have never seen. While at breakfast, a tow company came to tow our boat and my son-in-laws truck. The driver came to the restaurant to have them moved. By the time the owner came to our table to tell us and we went outside, it was already hooked up. No chance to move it but the tow truck driver said he’d drop it for $285. Did he think we were idiots? That money was going in his pocket. We got our truck and boat back. The owners were amazing. They felt so bad that they offered to pay the money we gave the driver! Who would do that? No one I know. If you want a great meal, good service and amazing owners, Flap Jacks is the place to go hands down..

April provided excellent service, food was delivered to our table promptly, and the food was great for all 4 of us. My wife says best over medium eggs she's ever eaten in a restaurant. Highly recommend.
