We went here for breakfast on vacation and ordered the shrimp and grits and basic combo of eggs, meat, and grits and everything was excellent. So fresh tasting. The toast and biscuit tasted homemade

I absolutely love breakfast…favorite meal for me. I came across Johnny Grits where they serve bfast all day. I am so glad I can add this restaurant to my “go to” places.
Looking at the menu made me want to order everything. There was so much to choose. I needed up getting their 2/2/2 Traditional platter but also got their Little SOB (biscuit & gravy). Everything was delicious. The biscuits & gravy was probably the best I have ever eaten. Superb flavor.
I was surprised not too many people were here at 8:30 am but perhaps it is because the location is in a small strip mall. The inside was very clean. I believe this establishment is owned by people of faith, for they had several pictures hanging up reflecting these values. For me, that was great to see.
Overall, I do not have one bad thing to say about this place. So happy I can add this to my list. I am looking forward to trying their avocado toast next time. It sounds heavenly.
PS—non chains, aka local restaurants, need more support from us. Go, you will not be regret it.

absolute worst experience of my life. I don’t think I will ever be coming back to this place. walked in with my significant other thinking I was going to have a good breakfast let alone, knowing that it was going to be a nightmare. I only got my order of water and it took him 45 minutes for them to not even realize that they haven’t taken care of me yet. I just walked out.

I came for the first time with my family. It was for my daughter's 21st birthday. We didn't get acknowledge when we walked in the door and a couple came in after us they was acknowledged right away and got seated before us. Finally when we got acknowledged my husband stated to him that we were before the couple he didn't care nor did he apologize. We had a family of 6 and they had a family of 5. Needless to say if he would have acknowledged us and apologized I would have eaten here but I didn't want anything from this place. I am as well as my family should have been treated equally like any other customers. At the the of the only 3 ate and 3 didn't. This happened 9/29/24, I do not recommend or have anything nice to say, it's the principle, dignity and respect that received.

Today was my first time visiting Johnny Grits. We heard about this restaurant from friends and we had to make the trip to see if they measured up to our expectations. It was a marvelous experience. We were welcomed as special guests. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We were served quickly with graciousness . I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants an excellent quality breakfast with many different options on the menu.
