This was our first visit to Massimo's and we were impressed with everything. The food was awesome and the service was wonderful. I had the duck a l'orange and my husband had the veal Massimo. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned.
ALWAYS MAGNIFICENT! Celebrated my fiancees birthday last night. Everything was exquisite from start to finish. Bertrand is an attentive an amazing server. Chef Massimo came out to check on our meals and say Happy Birthday. Drinks- top notch. Food- incredible. Highly highly highly recommend.
My husband and I came here for our Anniversary dinner. We are not wine drinkers but they have a HUGE wine list. The food was outstanding. I had the filet and I didn't even need a knife. Husband had the special Seafood Risotto. Everything was delicious. We will definitely come back. We were a lil disappointed we didnt get to meet the Chef as we did hear he always came out to greet you.
Our daughter was visiting so we decided to go to Massimo's for dinner and it was such a special experience for all of us. The three of us started by sharing two appetizers that were spectacular- the Wild Mushroom Tart and the Maple Leaf Duck and Brie which were a wonderful start to our meal. We each ordered something different for the main course. I had the seared diver scallops topped with pistachio nut au gratin in a vanilla-Greek yogurt sherry wine infusion, served with grilled asparagus. It was a fabulous blend of flavors and I ate every bite! My husband ordered one of several available specials, Veal Parmigiana, and our daughter had the Duck á l'Orange. They also really loved what they had chosen. Our server, Breton, was helpful and right on point and we enjoyed our leisurely evening. We finished by sharing two delicious desserts, the Créme Brûlée and Tiramisú It was a treat to have a long, leisurely evening great good and wine while not feeling rushed to leave. I'd highly recommend Massimo's for anyone who wants wonderful food and ambience!
Restaurant had an off odor when we arrive. The restaurant was definitely more of a 65 and older group. My seafood risotto was under done. My husbands veal was nothing special. We would not recommend.
Overall, we love the place love the owner and chef always comes out to greet you, unfortunately the duck is Mapleleaf, which is disappointing, and the steaks were done sous vide which we don't particularly love. They were very tasty and flavorful, but I like mine on a grill more so Definitely will be back all Italian dishes are magnificent.
We went out for a very special dinner and, Wow, that’s exactly what we got. Everything was cooked to perfection, our server Bertrand was so knowledgeable and attentive throughout. What a wonderful experience. The hardest part was making a choice from all the menu selections so we will have to return to work our way thru the rest of the menu. While there are some rather boldly priced specials, most of the menu is rather reasonably priced so you can spend according to your personal preference.
The Lobster Bisque was light and creamy with nice chunks of lobster, the Scallops simply superb, Roasted Duck was crispy and super tender.
One wall is covered with awards and honors, including an article describing Chef Massimo’s experience cooking at the James Beard House. If you want a great culinary experience, this is a great place for you and the wine list is quite varied and extensive, too.

From the moment you sit down to the moment you leave everything is perfect. The halibut and the risotto was delicious and the waitress was very attentive. We will be going back again.
Had a great meal celebrating our 40th anniversary. Had the veal Massimo, which was excellent. My wife had shrimps which were cooked perfectly. Would have liked some of the specials but were a little pricey. All in all a great time
Excellent, as usual! Our food was cooked to perfection. Our server, Bertrand, was very friendly and does a fantastic job. We highly recommend Massimo's!

It was just 'Okay", which is very disappointing especially given how AMAZING it was in the past. There was a LARGE party in the restaurant that evening, which required a lot of the 2 Servers attention. We were there for along time before our drinks were delivered. Had plenty of water. The service was not what we expected. The Carpaccio was watery, not served with crostini's as in the past. When I asked about the crostini's and if there are any, her replay was "sometimes to comes with it". Every time we dine there, there are 2 things that we constantly order: The Carpaccio and the Mushroom Tart. Needless to say, we were underwhelmed with the service, the food, and just the overall evening.
We were expecting something really great given prior reviews. The food was ok. But the experience was lacking. It didn't feel like an authentic Italian meal experience. No grated Parmesan for the pasta dish, no olive oil and balsamic. Very small bread roll that was stale 2 mins after being warmed up. If they added some proper crusty bread and some oil etc along with offering fresh Parmesan, it would have helped. My steak was very nicely cooked and tender but I expected a nice peppercorn sauce with Gorgonzola cream sauce yet it came out like a red wine runny sauce with a few peppercorns and little to no Gorgonzola. The vegetables weren't cooked very well and a very small amount. We are glad we tried it but probably won't go back.
Impressive, rather intimate (approx 10 tables in an open room). Excellent menu selections matched by superb service. We started with an amazing Lobster Bisque, and a Massimo's Chopped Salad with unique flavors and textures that blended perfectly. My Pappardelle Con Granchio Alfredo was the silkiest, most delicious, obviously handmade pappardelle full of juicy, tender giant lump crab in a perfect Alfredo sauce. Even when I was full I couldn't stop eating it. My husband's Veal Massimo was the most tender and flavorful he has ever eaten, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Desserts were a Chocolate Nutella Cake (a must for the chocolate lover) and a Creme Brulee which had the perfect crunch on top and was served with a dollop of whipped cream/strawberries and a birthday candle (as we were celebrating my birthday). This was accompanied by a birthday card hand-signed by Chef Massimo and the staff for a special touch, although the highlight of the evening (besides the amazing food) was Chef Massimo's visit to the table.
The food was outstanding. The service and ambiance were impeccable. I will definitely return to try even more of the amazing menu items!!
