After living here for a year and riding our bikes past and smelling the amazing aroma from the BBQ, we finally stopped in. I got brisket and sausage, plus cucumber salad because my wife thought it sounded really good. I'll be honest, when there's BBQ, I'm focused on the meat and it was fantastic. Brisket was super flavorful and tender, smoky, but the beefiness still came through. The sausage was awesome as well as was cooked perfectly; some crispy edges but not overcooked by any means. I'm not a huge salad guy, especially when there's BBQ involved, but the cucumber salad was also great. Super refreshing and kind of resets your palate and cuts through the fattiness of the meat. We'll definitely be back for more

After visiting this place many times, I found that I have to rely on luck to eat good Wagyu burgers. There is often mixed overnight beef that is heated up, and I even found beef that is two days old. Not only is it not fresh, but the meat is also very dry and hard. I can understand that they don't want to waste beef that cannot be sold and processed on the same day, but there is a 75% chance of eating stale overnight beef. This is too much. As a conscientious merchant, overnight beef should not be sold to customers again, not to mention that this place is branded as Wagyu!

Reel BBQ has some delicious options on their menu year round. The grilled cheese, brisket, pulled pork, and side items are some of my favorites. His coleslaw is one of the best I've tried anywhere! Great owner and you can tell he takes pride in the product he serves. Next time you're around downtown Palm Harbor, stop in and give them a try.
