Re-review. Something has changed here and it wasn’t positive. My previous review was 5 stars, it is now 1 star. The Ruben was horrible. Several years ago I stated it was the best in the area. Unfortunately that is no longer true. Initially when I spoke to Management they requested I bring it back to the store to receive a credit. Since I chose not to fight the 4:30 rush hour traffic, 25 minutes back to the restaurant, they asked that I put it in the refrigerator and return it at a later date and the would issue a refund at that time. I’m guessing this place has been sold or different management. The Ruben was $20 and it sits in the fridge. 04/10/2024.

Not as good as it used to be. Sandwich definitely got smaller. Staff looked tired (went for early lunch). Large party came in after us and we got lost in the shuffle of service.Parking: Hardly any parking. Part of lot was roped off.

Food was good. Now that I am on a fixed income, It is a little pricey for a sandwich joint, but the portions are huge. The food and service are good. It was 25.00 for a sandwich, chips, water plus tip for lunch. It may be my spending preferences, but I thought that was a little much for lunch.

The 2 for 30 was bait and switch we paid 20. That’s not the bad it was the meat in the pastrami sandwich, and the Reuben had no taste . The other half going to the dog. 29 years been going to this place and the food tastes like a three star restaurant. Stay away they lost their ways.i would not go back even if someone else pays. I’m disgusted with your food. Maybe you should concentrate on the deserts bc they were as good as they were 30 years ago. Other the food lacks any thing I would recommend to anyone. So if this place thinks they are above average they will be out of business soon. One more thing don’t forget about the service upcharge on every bill to lower costs. All Around big disappointment. It is just not the same. I tried again yesterday and they served me cold matzo ball soup. That was all I had and they are charging a 3% service fee. For what? No excuses the place is going downhill.

Restaurant is fine but whatever you do, don't buy a gift card. Ours had $50 on it and when they tried to use it, it said not valid. There is conveniently no way to check the balance other than showing a receipt. Since I didn't have a receipt, $50 down the drain. That was the only reason we even went there. What a great way for a business to make money.

We ordered a large Rueben with pumpernickel to go. The bread was not toasted. The 2 desserts- peanut butter pie and raspberry donut cheesecake were ridiculously small. This all came to $43.52. We also were charged a 3% service charge. We will not be back.

Food awful. Not like the old Lucky Dill. Bought bakery cookies we used to love. Threw the whole box in the garbage immediately. Will never return.

Place has gone down in quality quite a bit. Been coming here (or the last one on Alt 19) for 20 years. Today, pastrami had little to no marbling, was rubbery and salty. No more beer on tap either. Last couple of visits have been like this. It’s a shame.

This was one of my favorite places to eat. That said, some things have changed and not for the better. The menu used to be expansive with some great deals specifically 2 or 3 deli meat sandwich combination plates: no more. The multi page menu has shrunk to only 2 pages. I noticed on my receipt the name has changed to the NEW Lucky Dill Deli. I’m guessing the ownership has changed hands this year. To the new owners you shouldn’t fix what’s not broken. This was a must visit for me and my out of town guests on the way back from Clearwater St Pete airport. Based on this week’s experience I’m not so sure. Also the placard at the entrance mentioned free Matzoh Ball soup on Thursday… our server never offered when we ordered our sandwiches. On the plus side the free cheesecake is still delicious but there used to be a choice of Apple strudel. Again no mention of this by our server. My wife asked for a BLT but alas it’s no longer offered. Curiously though bacon was available for the Bacon cheeseburger she ordered unfortunately when her burger arrived it was missing the bacon. Thankfully this was quickly remedied by our server. We asked to be seated where there is no fan and we were accomodated. Unfortunately that resulted in us being seated next to the bakery where there are low ceilings resulting in the air conditioning vent blasting cold air which would be appreciated most times here in Florida but this was a cool day. I had to go back out to the car for a sweatshirt. In summation please bring back the OLD Lucky Dill.

The food is always great, and it's hard to beat the amount of food you get. Our waitress was wonderful and accommodated our family of 5 near closing (45 mins before) - she ensured all the childrens requests were met. I will be back for sure!Kid-friendliness: The waitress let the kids pick the sides they wanted although they weren't listed on the kids menu. Thanks for keeping them content!

We ate here last night. The food was amazing! I had the Waldorf chicken salad, and I'll be sure to get it again. It came with a piece of cheesecake that was delicious. The waiter was nice, and everyone who worked there had a smile.Apparently they're going to redo the outside dining to make it really nice, and are in the middle of getting the permits, etc. I'm excited about that! And they have a new breakfast menu that looks very good. I'll be trying that soon.Such a great restaurant. Highly recommend. Looking forward to my next visit there!
