Food is good but their $6.00’ avocado is shameful

This was my first time visiting this establishment. I wanted a large piece of Churrasco, which I was able to purchase from the butcher. It looks really good & I’m excited to cook it later tonight.I also ordered two Cuban sandwiches, which were rather tasty. I especially liked that they used fresh pulled pork in it.What was rather disappointing were the Mariquitas. They smelled of oil and were seemingly not fresh. The chips were not crisp & over soaked in oil as if they were not properly drained. Would not order them again. They went straight to the disposal.

I had the chicken soup. There was a great amount of chicken in it. More than I've gotten anywhere else in town.

Excellent food and super consistent. I have been ordering sandwiches for a while now and it always fresh. The tamales and chicharrones are amazing!

I stumbled upon The Butcher Shop when searching for restaurants in my new neighborhood, and this did not disappoint! The food tasted very fresh and was flavorful. There is limited seating...definitely more of a pick up to-go type of place, but there is a counter with a handful of chairs to dine in. The employees were quick and friendly. We got the masa de puerco with chicharones...fantastic! Hubby got the pan con bistec and I got the croqueta preparada. Both were great. The croqueta preparada had much more pork than I would typically expect for this type of sandwich. Definitely a spot we'll hit up again!

Best pan con lechón ever. Awesome chicharrones. Also a butcher shop with many great cuts of beef and pork.

Hello everyone! Well hanging out on a rainy Saturday this Labor Day weekend and decided to visit our old faithful in South Dade, "The Butcher Shop" baby! What can I say about this establishment that has not been said in the past that has not been said already but I will give it a shot. This outfit is a down home no frills breakfast and lunch spot that never fails to deliver. Very non descriptive location that does not look like much but do not be fooled, everything here is totally awesome! They pride themselves in their Cuban Pork sandwiches which are amazing but truthfully everything they serve here is delicious and most importantly FRESH. I have to recommend their home made ceviche and escabeche as well as they are delicious. The ceviche as you can imaging is lemon based but the escabeche is tomato based and has both octopus and calamari in it aside from fish. As the name states they do also sell great quality cuts of meat as well at reasonable prices as well. Everything from filet mignon to excellent sausages for grilling and most things in between. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the owners are on site and keeping an eye on everything going on as well. They are old school, super friendly and hey great opportunity to practice your Spanish with them if you are in the mood. The location is a little small but they do have counter space if you want to eat in but most folks stop in, pickup food and take it home or back to the office. Not feeling like breakfast or sandwiches well they got you covered there as well. They have all the usual Hispanic staples and several protein options in their food by the pound section that you can order from as well. Again, everything is fresh and made daily so you really cannot go wrong. Can you tell I love this place.... . Anyway, I'd you find yourselves on US1 and about 142 Avenue and are feeling a little hungry or just liking to take some food back home to the family, well you may want to stop in and check them out. I am pretty sure you will not be disappointed. Just remember this place is all about good quality fresh food! Wishing everyone a great Labor Day weekend, Enjoy and Bon Appétit m'es amis!

I've had this cafeteria bookmarked for months - curious to try it, but hadn't been in the neighborhood. By the luck of the food gods, I just so happened to be completing a work course in the same shopping center where it's located, so I HAD to stop in. I didn't have a lot of time, but a whole lotta hunger, so I ordered the pan con lechón, some chicharrones, and a cortadito. Everything was JUST right. I was hoping to try their fresh juices, but I was too stuffed. There's always a next time! This spot rightfully deserves all of their positive reviews.

Love this place!! I came here today to buy chicharrones because my cousin is coming to visit and said that's what he wants!! It's so good!! I also got 6 Cuban breads and a sugar cane juice!! Let's just say that the cane juice didn't even make it 1/2 way home! The guy made it fresh just for me, even though they had 2 in the tray by the cash register! I need to get that guy's name because he was awesome! He was so helpful and so nice! I was tempted to buy a pork leg because it looked so good but I was worried that I would be stuck eating it by myself so I'll wait for another occasion to get it! I want to go back and try more things but I always end up getting the chicharrones because they are so good!! They have lots of fresh juices and Cuban coffee too!! And they are open every day, including Sundays!!

Been here a few times for lunch. Sandwiches are sizable and tasty. Haven't yet tried their butchered meats or ceviches, but it's just a matter of time.Rumor is they are going to open another location farther south and we look forward to trying it out.Parking: It can get a bit crowded during the lunch hour.

A pan con lechon is one of my top favorite meals and I've heard really good reviews from this place. The sandwich was absolutely delicious with so much flavor that cannot be matched. It claims to be the best pan con lechon in Miami and I think it lives up to that claim. The service was also great and the workers were very friendly. I'd love to try something else next time though can't go wrong with the pork sandwich!! Very good price as well and huge portion which you can't beat!

The meat assortment is out of this world, you name it and they have it. Service was pretty easy and the butcher helped with his wide knowledge. The young man at the counter was very amiable and quick
