Delicious breakfast with fast service. Not super busy when we arrive around 8:15am on a Thursday morning but filled up as the time passed. My 3 year old and I shared the chicken tenders and waffles. It was really good...the chicken is very well done and it's really meaty, not dry and not ALL breading. Has to be done in house. We drive by everyday on the way to school but this is our first visit and it won't be our last!Kid-friendliness: They have a lively atmosphere, so you don't have to worry about kid volume as much. Highchair available and it wasn't too crammed to have them by the table.

I am a vegetarian [I eat eggs just not meat] and simply want to know when I go into a restaurant what are the vegetarian choices. The response of this waitress was entirely substandard. She made both mistakes made by waitresses when asked this simple question.1. Not Knowing the Menu. Most restaurants today have vegetarian choices. That's because there are millions of vegetarians in the country as well as other people who are not vegetarians but simply may not want to eat meat on that particular day when they order the meal. [Maybe their doctor told them to stay away from sausage and bacon because they don't want to die prematurely of a heart attack ?].This waitress did not adequately know the menu. So I had to scour the menu which took me quite a long time to read all of the descriptions of the food to determine which ones did not have meat. I chose a vegetarian omelet. How hard is it for a waitress to know the menu? This is not rocket science. That is her job. Moreover, there are so many vegetarians today, and others who do not want to eat meat that she must certainly be asked this question regularly. It should not be a rare or unusual request.2. The Ridiculous Answer. The next mistake that this waitress made as many other waitresses make because they seem to be lazy and ignorant of the menu is simply to say you can choose anything but take the meat out. This answer is infuriating to vegetarians, and it's extremely offensive. Why? That is because in many dishes meat is the central part of the meal and to take the meat out means that all the vegetarian gets to eat are potatoes and bread, yet pay the same price as the full meal. I can assure you I am not going to go to a restaurant and pay $20 for breakfast, including a tip to eat home fries and bread. Many restaurants have substitutes for meat and would say we can take the meat out, and in its place, we can add tofu or some of the meat substitutes. But to tell you to choose anything and take the meat out is like saying we're going to sell you a car and you'll pay the same price but we'll take the engine out.To be honest, I don't need to spend $20 for breakfast and be aggravated by a clueless waitress who doesn't want to be bothered with helping a customer.I'd rather go to a fast food restaurant, pay $7, and not be bothered with a tip. Thanks, but no thanks. To the owner: Just think for a minute how stupid it is to tell a vegetarian to "just take the meat out." It's like a slap in the face. I interpret it as a "screw you" answer whether intended to be one by the clueless waitress or not. It's like saying: "So you're a vegetarian, screw you, just take the meat out of any of our choices and stop bothering us." I'm am sure the waitress did not intend to imply that, but that's how it comes across to me. This was an answer more prevalent in the 1970s, 1980s when meat eating was more central in society and vegetarians were regarded as kooks. Yeah, I'm old so I've seen the evolution of how vegetarians are responded to. "Just take the meat out" is about the worst answer you can give. We vegetarians tegard this answer as crude and ridiculous.Just think how much better it would have been for the waitress to say: "Yes. Walter's has vegetarian choices, perhaps you'd be interested in the vegetarian omelet."Very simple.

Do not go for lunch. Ordered a club sandwich and it had like one slice of ham.

This Coffee shop is just ok. The pancakes were very undercooked and bland. I've had better service at the Waffle House. But if you are just hungry for breakfast which is what I tried it's not bad I've just had better. The prices are reasonable for what you get also

We came here a year ago, I wasn't impressed then, but my husband liked the pancakes (but not the grits or cheese eggs). Well, he was craving pancakes, so we decided to give it another try. He ended up getting an omelet, toast & cheesy grits (no pancakes!). He didn't care for the omelet, it had processed cheese slices on it, and it was too dense. I ordered the red neck benedict, which is sausage gravy & poached eggs on an english muffin, with potatoes. The waitress was very attentive & accommodating, she noticed that I wasn't eating my food & removed it from our bill. I just couldn't yall. The gravy taste like it came out of a can, the sausage taste freezer burnt, and the potatoes were exceptionally GREY and salty. I ended up grabbing food elsewhere. We left a nice tip for the waitress because she took good care of us, but we came for the food & it was another miss for me.

I was a little iffy about coming to Walter's because of their mixed reviews but I came anyway and no regrets! Service was great, food was even better. I had their egg Benedict with a side of home fries and bacon. Also ordered 1 pancake. The egg Benedict's were delicious! I left NO crumbs. Home fries were seasoned well. Bacon was perfect. I was too full to eat the pancake but I will say....that was the biggest pancake I've ever seen. I'll definitely recommend this place for breakfast.

Hadn't been here in A little while. The food was absolutely delicious we had a southern Benedict and the farmers market. However the service let's just say that CHRIS was running a man show and he did great. He had help not gonna mention her name but just want to GIVE CHRIS a shout out. THANK YOU for stepping in. You were great. Hopefully you get better help soon SO your not running a one man show.

I came to Walter's to have a late breakfast and had the best bacon egg and cheese. There was no wait and instantly sat down to have an amazing waitress, Tashay. I highly recommend at any time of day if you want breakfast or even a good burger.

One of the worst restaurant experiences in Miami. If I could give it 0 stars I would have. Our family came here for breakfast (3 of us). After 30 minutes one of our meals came out. Then 20 minutes later the server brought out the next person's meal. Only to come back to the table to say the chef asked to take it back to the kitchen. 15 minutes later the waffle we ordered to share came out. Stone cold. It was nearly inedible. 20 minutes after that they brought out the third person's food. They literally were making one plate at a time. Once we were done we waited another 15 minutes to get the bill. It never came. We finally handed our card to someone and they ran our card without seeing the bill. No apology. No manager stopped by. No one asked how the food was. I get issues happen. But your staff should be trained on what to do when things don't go to plan. We've worked in the service industry in the past and it's clear that the staff isn't trained properly. At minimum the manager should have checked in. Would not recommend. A simple apology from the manager or the staff would have gone a long way to us considering giving this place another chance.

This place used to have fantastic food but after my last experience I may never eat there again. Waited 45 minutes for a takeout order and it still wasn't ready when I got back. Ordered eggs Benedict and eggs came back hard asked for the potatoes to be extra cooked and they were barely cooked. Had to wait another half an hour for my order. The sausage gravy was still good.

We came in for party of 4. The hostess told us 5-10 min. We go outside. Go back in she goes you didn’t write your name down it will be 5-10 minutes. At no point did the hostess ask for our name. Then she sat a gentleman at a table of 4 who came in after us. So we put our name down. Then we were told not to wait that it will be another 10-15 minutes. Coming from the hospitality world being a chef for over 20 years. This is where places go wrong. FOH is the main point and this is where you loose customers. Very sad considering there aren’t many places in cutler bay.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever had. Nobody was friendly. All running around like a chicken without a head. Complaining that they are understaffed. Forget about the food. The grits were not cooked properly and thrown on the plate like slop. The eggs tasted like they were from a carton. And they threw a handful of cheddar cheese on top of it. I waited 25 minutes// not worth the wait…
