The food was excellent but the place was woefully understaffed and the waitress was harried. But I'd go back. The simple fish and chips was quite good and my wife had a patty melt she said was good. She said her side salad was lackluster so I'm not sure she'd want to go back. She had iced tea and there was an issue with that also. So order something simple, be patient and you should be ok.

We'd been in the area for over 3 weeks and this place had the best service we'd seen so far!
Wasn't too busy when we arrived and got given a nice booth. I got the double cheese and bacon burger which was really good! It was massive (will get the single next time!) with 2 big juicy nicely cooked patties, plenty of cheese, tomato and lettuce. Served in a really soft fresh bun (which didn't fall apart while I was eating). And it came with a large portion of really good fries.
My wife chose the grilled cheese sandwich, which was simple but in a good way. Lovely greasy bread and plenty of cheese! She chose to get it with the soup but didn't know which flavour to get. The woman serving offered her a small portion of the lemon chicken soup to try while we were waiting for the food to be cooked. Then she came back to check if my wife liked it and to check if she wanted that with her grilled cheese, or the stuffed pepper soup instead. My wife liked the chicken soup, but opted to have the pepper soup with her sandwich (which was amazing, described as deconstructed stuffed pepper and that's exactly what it was!) Then while we were eating the server came to check that she liked the pepper soup, and asked if she wanted any more of the chicken soup instead.
The server was so lovely, and even if the food wasn't good, we still might have gone back. But as the food was as good as the service we will definitely visit again next time we're in the area. (Prices were also very good for the sizes of the portions)

This was my and my husband's first time coming here. We were greeted right when we walked in and when we sat down we had this fantastic sweet waitress named Nikki. We absolutely loved her! So personable, helped us with the menu when we had questions, always checked on us and just had the most radiant personality! We will be back for sure alot! Ty for a wonderful experience! Ive been to the restaurant a couple of times whenever I visit the area and I really enjoy their food, they have a pretty big menu with many many options, all comfort food, and breakfast all day which is nice. Their food is really good, and the servers are really friendly, the environment is very relaxed and feels very cozy. I will recommend the spinach and feta omelet, its really good. Will definitely continue visiting them and trying different things from their menu!

If you haven't ever dined at the Burger and Pancake House in Palmetto, you're missing out!! This place has everything you could want in a family style restaurant. The staff is super friendly, the food is amazing and the place is really clean. Just a suggestion but try the corn beef hash, french toast & if you're looking for a sandwich, try the french dip. Oh, if this gives you a hint how great this place is, they know everyone and guests are treated like family and called by their first names.. All restaurants owners out there, you could learn a lot from these guys on how to really do it right.
