Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant

Great food, even better service. Fantastic view of the bay. Blue crab dip was delicious. Johnny was our server. He was excellent at his job. Very personable and professional. We will return.

We have been going to the Riverhouse for the past 5-6yrs when we are in Florida. It has been an absolute favorite of ours, until tonight! It’s Nov 16/25. The view as always is perfect. The staff, very attentive. The food? An epic FAIL! They have always offered menu items that were tasty, affordable with lots to choose from. Tonight we found the menu slashed to pretty much Pub Fare with a much higher price tag. We were thoroughly disappointed in the lack of selection and substandard food. Bring back the quality and menu that you built your reputation on. Signed, A loyal customer who is now looking elsewhere for a favorite restaurant.

The Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant setting is spectacular. It is located at a gorgeous marina. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive and friendly. There is inside and outside seating. They have a few tables that are built around a fire pit.

We used to love going to the River house for an afternoon snack and refreshment. The first thing we noticed was the emptiness of the restaurant. The second was that they no longer had the happy hour food menu. Our server Marissa, was initially attentive. We ordered the kickin shrimp starter and French fries. When the food came out she apologized for the amount of shrimp as it was only the amount that used to come on the old happy hour menu which was half the price. She corrected that and got us more shrimp. Then we started to eat the fries and they were barely Luke warm. She took those back and got fresh hot ones. After that her contact with us was minimal. Needless to say our favorite place to go went to the bottom of our list.

Love this place. Great location, views of the manatee river are fabulous. Great service, food, and beverages.

Meal was average. Service was great. Lobster pot pie best thing there. Spinach artichoke dip very good. Make sure to review menu so no one in your party doesn’t go without. Great location

Murphy was amazing. She was friendly, got our orders correctly and was very professional. Its nice to have a server that really cares about the customer's experience. This was our first time here . The tropical salad with chicken was delicious.

It was fine, I cannot recommend for a delicious meal but it was convenient and the staff was very nice.
Went here twice, months apart, and sadly was disappointed both times.

1st time, spinach dip was runny, shrimp app was tough and breading fell off, Grouper was salty, Lobster pot pie had little lobster in it and the crust was only on the top, the lobster roll was good, had large chunks of lobster.

2nd time, calamari was okay, had an odd cheese pairing, Brussels were oversauced and undercooked, brushchetta was disproportionate, the bread was very small, toppings barely fit on top and there was a lot of wasted salad let behind. Fish and chips were good, lobster mac and cheese was fine, on the watery side but fine, Petite filet was awful, very Petite, dry and tough with little side veges.

Atmosphere was great, on the water with nice views especially at sunset. The staff was great, friendly, attentive, they even fixed our wobbly table.

Great place for lunch, salad was great. Service was great. View outside was very nice.
