Outstanding Jamaican food. Had the jerk chicken and the curry goat on two trips here and both were excellent. Large portions, difficult to finish it all. Rodney and the staff are all super friendly and welcoming.
The food and vibes here are always great. I get the same thing every time I go. The jerk chicken w/rice and beans and spinach and add that mac n cheese. Just stupid good.

First time coming here. I live near by and happened to stumble upon this place while driving. Was greeted with a warm welcome. Menu selection is just right, not too many items where it’s overwhelming. We ordered jerk wings, Mama G’s sampler and a couple of beef patties. When I tell you this food was seasoned to perfection best believe that’s not an understatement. The food was delicious to say the least. Some of the best I’ve had in a looooongtime. Literally everything we ate that day was absolutely finger licking good lol. My suggestion is the Mama G’s sampler which comes with Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, rice & peas, and sweet fried plantains….OMG it’s worth every penny. Portion size is excellent as well!!! Our server “Ms. Lovely” was awesome, helpful and sweet!!! There was a couple who had driven an hour to come eat here and now I see why… This place is a hidden gem in Bradenton, hands down the best food in the city!!! …I’m hooked!!!

Our food was amazing. The ox tails were the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter and waitress were both so friendly and there was some good live music rolling. I will absolutely be back

My wife and I stopped in right after Hurricane Milton. It was one of the few places open and they were running on a generator. We had no idea what to expect, but after ordering from the limited “hurricane menu” and got a drink while waiting, we experienced what we would call your neighborhood bar/restaurant setting.
Everyone who came in seemed to know each other and the owner, and it was hugs and laughter all around. It was such a cool setting, and obviously unique considering the circumstances, but we had a great time listening and observing.
We took the food home and it was AWESOME. We had jerk chicken, pork, and oxtail, as well as rice and beans and plantain. Unbelievable. I am sure it will be even bette them they actually have actual power and light to work with. We live between Bradenton and Wisconsin and are back in Wisconsin now, dreaming of Rodney’s every day…haha
