Rodney’s Jamaican Grill delivered a nice experience. The food came out fast and was really delicious, with bold flavors. We were especially glad we were able to find them at their new location. We caught them just before they began operating only from the food truck, which felt like a bit of good luck. Solid food, quick service, and definitely worth stopping in if you are craving authentic Jamaican flavors.

This is a great place togo and enjoy an evening. The food is excellent with service by the owner rodney. Rodney takes good care of his customers and makes sure you got everything you need. I ordered the Mad Mark special which comes with jerk chicken Jamaican rice and plantains and it was excellent. As always Rodney brought us some other foods to try because he is very proud of his cooking skills and he wont let you leave hungry. Rodney also makes the best jerk chicken wings you will ever taste. There is also plenty of entertainment to watch with rodney entertaining his guests with his own Jamaican way of doing things. I recommend Rodneys for a real Jamaican experience and the food is great

Rodney's is the only and best place for authentic Jamaican food in Manatee County.
As far as I'm concerned it's the best in Tampa Bay but I haven't been anywhere else.
The atmosphere is relaxing comfortable and inviting.
The food is top notch.
Literally everything.
Oxtails, red snapper, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, meatloaf, the goat, jerk chicken, patties with oxtail gravy, curry chicken, alfredo, rice and peas - all top notch.
He even has a seasoned ribeye, which is surprisingly delicious but it's been 3 years since I've had it.
You want to order it all but you can't, which means you have to come back.

Hands down my favorite Jamaican spot! The vibe was great I took a picture of a few quotes on the wall. They also had a pool table but let’s get down to it…the food? OUUUFFF. Best oxtail in town and I’m from Orlando. All fresh ingredients and falling off the bone tender. Good size pieces and not toooo much fat. The macaroni was also the best I’ve had at a Jamaican spot and the cabbage? I don’t think anyone can compete with it. We also got the jerk chicken that was also good but definitely not as good as their oxtail. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to go back some day. Hoping when I come back they have some peanut punch available because they didn’t when we went.

Me and my friend went yesterday (3rd time at this location) I ordered curry chicken, cabbage, and macaroni..I ordered my son chicken alfredo..It was dry about time I got home, went to buy extra alfredo to add to it.The Mac n cheese was super over cooked last time he got double Mac. Everything was delicious besides that, but the owner had a attitude, I guess because he was had just served 2 guys of a different race Had to be inspectors for him to have a attitude and ignore us after 10 minutes of serving them.We tried to ask can we pay and get our drinks..Was ignored, had a mean look on his face the whole time! Maybe you was having a bad day Anyways I didn't want the drink anymore after that, was gone leave without ordering but I came 45 minutes from South Sarasota to get it, I ALWAYS tip, and don't appreciate the attitude..I still would come back though, hope I can still get clean good service like every one else! #Customer Service should be top priority no matter who you are!! Oh and the Rum Punch is good and strong, you can sip it for a long time, week me anyways 😆

Oxtails and spicy beef patties here are delicious! I've been meaning to try other dishes but, their Oxtails got me in a chokehold. Their staff are always friendly, helpful and personable. They even have a pool table and a DJ playing the jams. I would highly recommend!
First time trying this restaurant and the oxtail was good the rice taste old the chicken was pink and it wasn't any flavor the Mac n cheese was nasty and they also tipped themselves on my card when I clearly put 🚫 i will be to get my money with the police
