This is hands down the best seafood restaurant in PCB! The seafood is always fresh and grilled/fried to perfection, the service is great, the prices are reasonable, and we love the laid-back atmosphere!

My wife and I arrived at Boondocks yesterday about 15 minutes before opening at 4:00 pm as indicated by Google. Unfortunately I should have gone to their website because at 4:00 it became evident that they were not opening on Wednesday, having adjusted to their off-season schedule. Numerous other people had arrived by then so I guess we weren't alone in failing to check their website. We decided to go back today and was glad we did. We were immediately seated upon arrival in a room with great atmosphere and a fantastic view of the Intercoastal Waterway. We Got down to business and in no time our plates of hot, fresh fried seafood had arrived. I had the fried bay scallops with fries, hushpuppies and cole slaw. Everything was perfect and ever so filling. My wife had the fried shrimp and she reported that she too was well pleased with her selection. Service was excellent and prices were fair.

It probably would be an okay restaurant, but they close randomly for “special events.” I couldn’t imagine closing your entire restaurant on random dates for events. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought that was the point of conference and event centers. Lame.

NOT DOG friendly location. This is not a bad review. They were polite about it. Just make sure you know this as it's confusing due to other boondocks coming up in searches as dog friendly.
Otherwise place looks great. Will come back when my dog is taking a nap!

We moved to PCB in March . We tried Boon Docks today . It did not disappoint. Food and service were awesome. The place has a lot of character. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful Florida restaurant off the beaten path in a wonderful setting. Good mix of fried and grilled seafood. Fried pickles and firecracker shrimp apps were phenomenal. Dinner portions are big. My grilled grouper was well seasoned but slightly over cooked. The onion rings were well made and the cream corn was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was good.

While on a mini vacation in Panama City Beach, my sister and I decided to try Boondocks for dinner and I am so glad that we did. The food was amazing. She had grilled shrimp 🍤 and loved it. I had grilled shrimp and scallops. The shrimp were big, fresh, and full of flavor. The scallops were grilled perfectly and sweet. I also had the gator bites and enjoyed them as well.
The environment at Boondocks is another bonus. It's like a house full of treasures to see (and buy) when you walk in. Each room has something different. There is a deck overlooking the bay outside where you can wait or you can wait in a comfortable area inside. It was crowded when we were there but we were seated fairly quickly by accepting seats at the bar.
The service was just so, so. Nothing to write home about but that may have been because we were at the bar. The two staff members at the bar just didn't attempt to make any connection to us at all. They weren't unfriendly but not friendly either.
As for price, Boondocks isn't a budget restaurant but at least as regards what we ordered, it was well worth the price. They didn't skimp on portion sizes or quality.
Give Boondocks a try if you are visiting PCB. I highly recommend it.
