The Compass Lounge offers an excellent ocean view while dining, making it a lovely spot for meals. The new waiter, Ally, along with the hostess and manager, provided accommodating service, even writing a sweet note for a special occasion. While the ambiance and aesthetics are highlighted by the beautiful view, some guests found it to resemble a hotel lobby and wished for a clearer separation between the bar and restaurant areas.
The food experience has mixed reviews; while the fish & chips and cedar plank salmon were delicious, some dishes like the fried seafood platter were disappointing due to excessive salt. The tacos were noted as delicious, and the cornbread stuffed chicken was also well-received. Some tables had cloths, while others did not, leading to concerns about the overall upscale feel of the place. Although water was served in plastic cups, beer and wine were presented in glasses, improving the dining experience.
