Cool Runnings Caribbean Cuisine

We came to visit Panama City Beach and enjoy some good cooking!! I was shocked and very pleased to find a familiar Caribbean restaurant. I used to go to “Cool Runnings” on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, Georgia. I don’t know if it’s the same owner but the food was just as, or more delicious, than ever. I had the Jerk Chicken and it was delicious! The service was great, the lady at the front was friendly and polite. Thank you, Cool Running ~ See you next time.

My family and I were visiting from out of state on vacation. Decided we wanted to try Jamaican cuisine out. Called to order and boyyyyyy was the guy that answered the phone RUDE!!! He rushed us, kept cutting us off and sighing heavily. We definitely confronted him about that. The outside of the building is beautiful but the inside is so dark and dreary. The food came out about 20 minutes after we made it. Piping hot,I give them that. It was very good. Seasoned well but my chicken was very old and dry. .5 out of 10. Definitely not going back.

Came in to order oxtails & curry chicken (two meats with two sides combo) but asked them could they put the curry in different container bc I didn’t want the curry gravy to mix with the oxtail gravy. They told me no they can’t put it on the side so I simply did not order the curry bc I don’t want my food touching! You lost a sale bc you are too lazy to put it in a separate container or so cheap that you didn’t want to have to give me a separate container. Either way it’s a bad business practice bc why would you lose the money vs just packing the food separate. I sure hope the owner is reading this. Whoever cooks on the night shift on Wednesdays made you miss a sale bc they were lazy. Food was good but I will not be returning bc of the lack of customer service. The cashier was a pleasant guy and was the one relaying the lazy cook’s message. Money lost bc my husband decided not to order at all after they told me no bc he wanted the same thing.

Best Caribbean food we've had! Great flavors, not too spicy, juicy chicken, overall incredible food! This will be a regular stop for us from now on!

We visited PCB and decided to try this restaurant. We had curry chicken and oxtail plates with cabbage and a side of plantains. The food was pretty good and the price is reasonable but the cabbage (vegetables are important and part of the reason we came) portion was too small and the girl at the counter taking orders is EXTREMELY rude. She acts like she is doing you a favor and you are intruding upon her for putting in an order. I’m not sure why some people seem to normalize a lack of customer service when customers are the reason a business stays in business. She couldn’t explain that you get two sides (I thought rice and peas was automatic because that’s what I’m used to) and kept repeating “side” after I said cabbage. I said “oh you get two” and asked what else they have. She kissed her teeth before running down sides and just had an all around bad attitude. The men in the restaurant were nice, but her attitude needs an adjustment. Her energy was unwelcoming.
