I remember moving here about 15 years ago and had their tuna dip for the first time. And then I heard other restaurants use Dee's Hangout tuna dip. That dip is world famous and i think can be ordered online. So I thought... why not just keep going to the source. My mother-in-law would visit and leave with several containers of the tuna dip to take back. This is where the locals go to because we know the quality of the food. The staff are so friendly and make you feel like you've been family since the moment you enter the front door. And the Chef will walk around asking about your entree. Who does that anymore? This Chef truly loves his craft and you can taste that passion.

First time customer ordered take out.
I ordered the sherry crab soup. The reviews raved about it and at first bite I was soooo disappointed. It’s just not good. It had far too much cooking wine and you could taste it. I was lucky to get a decent crab lump from it and that helped but I couldn’t even finish it. I got a bowl and should not have. It was missing spices or something and again too much cooking wine.
The eteoffe gumbo chicken, sausage and shrimp was amazing! Flavor and spicy Cajun on point!! Honestly I took some of the gravy to mix in the soup to give it flavor. It helped but only so much.
The blacken mahi sandwich. Fish was a nice slab and cooked to perfection.
We ordered various of appetizers that were fried. It was okay probably better eating in house.
I gave a 3 star because with how much we paid, then the disappointment of the soup. It was not worth the price tag. At least I know where to find decent gumbo. It was just not worth it to me. I’m sorry.

We had a little bit of everything, the fritters were OK but the she crab soup was fantastic. The gumbo again fantastic, the red fish again fantastic, the prime rib was cooked so well I would put it up against big Dame steakhouses no problem. The prices were very good and the service was amazing.
Had a great Etooffe & plate of fried oysters , yummy
Erika at Dee’s has got to be the most attentive and friendliest server in PCB! She welcomed us as soon as we walked in the door of Dee’s Hangout. Erika is quick, accurate, and focused on taking care of her customers. 🙌🏻

Absolutely love this place. We go to Destin 1 to 2 times per year, and my husband and I drive to Panama City Beach just to eat there. I get the same thing every time we go. Fried Catfish Etoufee. Very nice portion of catfish and they don't overdo the rice. We shared a bowl of she-crab soup. The best we've ever had. I've never had she-crab soup that was so thick and meaty. I definitely recommend this place.
The food was very good! I had the grilled red fish special. It was cooked to perfection and delicious. Also the She Crab soup was wonderful! Very generous portions. Very good food!

It's a little over priced compared to several other similar restaurants I've eaten at in the area. Nothing special for a local place. Charges an extra 3% for CC use and doesn't give a Military discount.

Server was very good. Food was ok. We had the shrimp with fries an hush puppies. The shrimp was good but the hush puppies and fries tasted old. I'm sure they had been sitting a little while.

I've eaten at Dee's Hangout for years, almost every time I've been to the beach as we live just on the other side of Hathaway Bridge. I've been to his restaurant when it was closer to where the Front Beach meets the Middle Beach and to other restaurants he's cooked at and have always loved the food quality, but today it was a bit off. When we received our food, it was hot and looked great. The wife had a burger and she liked it. I had a grouper basket and just wasn't impressed. The grouper was extremely hot, which was good, but it had little or almost no taste, the crinkle fries were room temperature, and the cole slaw was so-so. Not what I was expecting from Dee's for the amount I paid for the grouper basket. I'm not sure why it was mediocre, but hopefully, it was a one-off because I don't plan on spending a good amount of money on mediocre.

What an incredible hidden jam! The food was large portions, veterans were perfectly made, and flavorful without too much of anything. We have the chicken fingers, they are heat tuna I highly recommend, and the crabcakes!
Great food I had the shrimp tacos, my husband had the Cajun Platter. Both were very good.
