Fred's is an average beach restaurant. There is lots of seating inside and out. The parking is in the back, but you have to walk through most of the outside seating to get to the hostess stand, which was a bit awkward, but there were signs pointing the way. The food is average priced for a beach town. The food quality was pretty good, but not great. The service was pretty good. The total experience was OK.There was one weird thing. They had cats roaming in and out of the seating area from outside. I thought that was a health issue, but they seemed like they lived there, so I guess I'm the only one who has an issue with it.

I came here with some friends near the end of the night. Lilly was our server and she was so gracious and helpful. It was our first time there and she helpful with menu selections and told us about some of the upcoming events. We had such a great time that we didn’t even realize they had begun cleaning up for the end of the night. Once we realized we quickly finished and started heading out. Lilly never made us feel rushed or unwelcome. We also work locally and we know the feeling of waiting on stragglers to leave. As we stopped to take pictures with the shark outside, Lilly passed us on the way out to her car. She even stopped to offer to take our picture and made sure we had one we liked. She made our night!

Came here for the Raw Oysters. They were small but they did taste good. Little upset my beer came in a clear plastic cup. Was hoping for a chilled or cold glass for draft beer. The service was quick and the waitress was spot on.

Very disappointed went for the first time lastnight an the oysters Rockefeller was over priced paid $14 for 6 oyster it was nasty the oysters was the size of a peanut an full of nun but cheese no bacon or spinach ?

Both my husband and I are from South Louisiana. This was absolutely delightful! The GM was phenomenal! We hope you and your wife make it to Ireland soon. We absolutely loved the history on how you came to be but however, Geaux Tigers!???

If you're going for oysters, I think you're safe. Also ordered the captains plater and blackened catfish with shrimp.... I could've gotten better seafood at a captain ds or long john silvers. Definitely not worth the money paid.
Food and drink were excellent. Waitstaff was as good as possible but could have used more persons.

The charbroil dozen oyster sampler was delicious! I am not a heavy eater but I finished the whole thing with a sweet tea. You will have to walk thru a descent sized outside dining to get to the host stand which is located inside. I would recommend.Parking: Parking is near the entrance.Kid-friendliness: I had my kindergarten daughter with me. She enjoyed the atmosphere and her shrimp. Her food was served on a frisbee that she got to keep.

Can't speak on the food. All I know is when we got on the wait-list we were told a 30 minute wait. We stared at many empty tables for at least an hour when they finally seated us in one of them. The server took our drink order within about 5 minutes but then never returned. After we sat for about 20 minutes waiting on said drinks, we just gave up and decided to grab some fast food to take back to the room.

Hour wait to be seated. 30 minutes after our drinks were taken, and still no server. So we left. Waiting an hour and half and still don't have your order taken is inexcusable at any restaurant. Lesson learned to avoid this place.
