Went in for gift certificates, they do not offer them. Many items crossed off of the menu, some items on the menu not available, like plantains, on the day I went. Ordered the jerk pork, raw salad & rice&peas -- Pork was very spicy for me & somewhat overcooked...peas&rice were sweet? Raw salad was as expected. Food was delicious! We came on New Year’s Day and only one person worked. He was awesome and attentive. I ordered the salmon pineapple salsa and it was superb. Most items here have a little kick to em. So if you don’t like spicy food make sure you ask.
First time visiting Jaa's Jamaican Kitchen and the food was okay. I was truly expecting amazing Jamaican Ox tails, coconut rice and peas with steamed cabbage. But the Ox tail gravy was thin not thick at all and just tasted like regular soul food Ox tails. But the steamed cabbage was good and the customer service. So when in the area, stop in and give them a try. They also have bar & cocktails available.
