Pizza was good, but we were charged a gratuity even after declining the tip. We challenged the gratuity charge since our order was a pick up order only, but was refused a refund for gratuity in a rather unprofessional manner. The price for pizza was expensive, so I wouldn’t recommend for the price and for the unprofessional response we received regarding the tip.
We have loved Lake Powell pizza in the past but we will no longer be patronizing this business. I don’t know what has happened but this place is not what it used to be. We ordered meatballs and a small pizza. Spent over $40. The meatballs were tiny and our pizza was pathetic. Sausage, onion and pepper pizza that had virtually nothing on it except the green pepper. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Lake Powell Pizza was frustrating enough to warrant one. I placed a takeout order for three pizzas and was shocked when the total came out to nearly $90—including a 20% gratuity that was automatically added to a takeout order. Tipping is something I usually do voluntarily based on service quality, but charging a full-service tip for food I picked up myself feels incredibly unreasonable.
