Lorrie Morgan's Spicy Hot Chicken Coop

Super great experience! Sat down for a while and ordered drinks while we waited to check in at the condo. The service was spot on. Our server warned us about the spice level. If you're used to spicy I would go with medium. Mild has a very good flavor though. Ordered a grilled cheese and chicken sandwich - so tasty! Drinks were amazing as well!

I fell in love with hot chicken at Prince's in Nashville and look for its equivalent everywhere I go. Imagine my surprise at finding a reasonable substitute right here in PCB! The Coop is in the Laketown Wharf hotel complex, right across the street from Pineapple Willy, hard to find if you don't know where to look. The restaurant is cute and eclectic, not what I expected - I thought it would be more country. There's a nice bar to sit at and have a drink while you chat with the bartender. The chicken was quite good - crispy, moist and plenty spicy. Served properly in a paper basket on top of white bread, garnished with dill pickle chips. It's a bit pricey but not outrageous. Honestly we came for the chicken and couldn't care less about a bunch of sides, so the a la carte pricing was just fine for us. I'm a local and now that I've found the Coop I'm sure I'll become a regular.

Great food! The coleslaw is life. Great atmosphere and even better service.

Long day of driving to get to Panama City. And we were ready to just relax and get something to eat and drink. The hostess had us seated in a matter of 10 minutes, versus the 1 1/2 hour wait everywhere else we went. Drinks and food were delivered really quick, and it tasted great. There was live music from Lorrie’s son, and Lorrie’s husband was even walking around the room checking on everyone’s meals and service they were getting. Our family had a great time for our first evening in Panama City, and I am sure we will be back at The Coop before we leave for home!

Took over 2 hours to get food!! Waitress and manager was more interested in karaoke than waiting on customers! Only reason I’ve waited is the drinks are great!

Amazing place. Food and drinks were amazing as well. Will definitely be back.

I can take alot of spicy foods. I walked in and ordered thier chicken tenders. They asked me how hot I wanted them. I responded "go nuts with it". That was not smart. Food was great!! The hottest tenders ever!!

Can’t beat the chicken tenders-no spice is available too for those who don’t do spicy at all. They make a great cheeseburger and chicken quesadilla, too!

My family and I tried eating here 2 nights in a row and we were not welcome. The first night we wanted to be seated and the hostess said nothing to use until we asked to be seated, which was then followed by the kitchen is closed. The next night we tried to be seated and and told us we would have to wait. A family(non black family) came behind us and she seated them immediately. At this point I guess she is not a fan of African Americans. I took my family and money else where.

My husband & I came to the coop because I'm a huge fan of Lorries came all the way from Illinois for our Honeymoon. Food was great hostess and waitress was very nice. Prices were good and food was amazing. Only thing I was disappointed about was I had just missed seeing Lorrie when we arrived.
