Mr. Puff's Hand-Rolled Ice Cream

Incredibly disappointed. This shop came highly recommended to us as a must visit. We arrived at 8:35pm only to have the 8 of us turned away. They had cleaned and shut everything down early. The reason... "they had a really busy day." One of the workers even commented to the other worker, "nope I've had enough today." And walked out. Literally left. Meanwhile the sole worker offered us a handful of flavors for a cone, which just so happened each flavor the kids picked was "sold out." I almost felt as if we were being recorded on that show "What Would You Do?" Pretty flabbergasted with the entire experience and with how many positive reviews this place has. Sincerely two of the rudest employees we've ever experienced. The atmosphere I expected to be much better based on reviews... the smell upon entrance is not pleasant, it feels like you're walking into a dingy laundromat that sells ice cream.

Bad! The service bad
I didn’t even get in the store
And the lady says not pets allowed
And I didn’t see any plate saying that
I checked on goggle before and it doesn’t say anything about pet! Ridiculous

I certainly hate to leave a bad review and I usually try to see how a place of business responds to reviews to see if they truly care, about the business or the customers. Then, after reading reviews and seeing the same basis responses to everything, shows that they either use a company to respond to these reviews or that the business is so busy, that they don’t need to improve or fix anything.
With that being said, the 2 employees working the counter on 11/24/24 were 2 of the rudest employees I’ve ever dealt with. I get it, kids don’t want to work and they don’t like their jobs. But being in a vacation town, I want to experience fun and joy, and maybe even just a hello, thank you, or something. As soon as we walked in, we were told all that was left to as vanilla ice cream and a little bit of strawberry. Sicnr i have never been there before, I said “so there’s no Oreo available”. Her smarta$$ response, that had vanilla ice cream in it, so obviously it’s available. Ok….i stopped asking and just ordered. We came with 8 people and all 8 said the same thing, it was ok, but one little Oreo for a bowl of ice cream…not smile. No please. No thank. Nothing. If I wanted a second order it was another $1.50.

I would try rolled ice cream again…. Not from here. My guess this is a chain, not family owned….and the response will be generic.

Save yourself the trouble and find another place.

We ordered rolled ice cream with peanut butter and hot fudge. It was the worst rolled ice cream I have ever had. The employees behind the counter were nice about it and provided great service, but even the best service cannot outweigh bad product.

We showed up 20 minutes before close and they said it was only regular ice cream no hand rolled which to me seems terrible when you offer hand rolled ice cream.

It was packed but was assisted quick and it was nice to see the your order made right in front of you! I LOVED the dairy free pineapple rolled Ice cream and my boyfriend got cookies n cream which was also HEAVEN!

Domino is great rolled ice cream!!
Seems like a family owned business which is great. However, customer service is lacking.
Greeting customers instead of looking at them and speaking Jamaican as they prepare others orders be appreciated. Southern hospitality would be great to add, since the business is in the south. It seems as though it’s a burden for the workers to want to serve customers. Of course not all customers are nice, but smile more and say hello!

Just left with rolled vanilla ice cream w/oreo and brownies and a cotton candy milkshake. Both are phenomenal! The best cotton candy milkshake I’ve ever had and I am a connoisseur! All 3 staff members we interacted with were VERY kind. Highly recommend Mr Puffs!!
