Food was bland, the service was subpar and inattentive, and overall the experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re interested in Tex-Mex cuisine

We didn’t take pictures (sorry), but everything we ate was exceptional! Guac…fresh. Queso with brisket…cheesy, smoky goodness. Chips…seasoned and fried to order. Fish tacos…hot and unique. Top Gun Burrito…huge and flavorful. The wait staff was helpful and engaging. I think we’ve found our new favorite spot. -Chef Sarah

Food has nothing to do with real mexican food. Food is more of an american version of what they do in Mexico. The brisket has so much fat and grease that it is hard to eat it. Service is ok, nothing special. Price is so so for what you get.

Absolutely pathetic. The brisket was full of fat, the music was blaring, they charge you for everything—even to breathe. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The worst enchiladas I've ever had.if you'd just put some taco seasoning in the meat and add sauce to the outside of the shells. Not only that but i paid $21.00 for the worst enchiladas and $13.00 for chips and salsa, really. I'm from Texas and this isn't Tex Mex. Sorry guys, I really wanted this place to be good. Go a little further to Amigos!

Went on Tuesday but they were closed. The sign says closed for the season. This is the second time that we have went on a day that they were supposed to be open but they were closed. They should update their postings to prevent this. We won't take that chance again.

If you're craving bold flavors and unforgettable comfort food, Muey Wayneo is the spot that delivers with flair. This vibrant Tex-Mex gem blends smoky, spicy, and savory into a menu that feels both familiar and exciting.

The brisket queso is a revelation — creamy, rich, and loaded with tender smoked brisket that melts into every bite. It's the kind of starter that makes you pause mid-conversation just to savor the moment.

Then there's the Ellie Mae sandwich, a showstopper in its own right. Imagine layers of perfectly seasoned meat, crisp veggies, and a sauce that ties it all together like a love letter to Southern flavor. It’s hearty, satisfying, and somehow still leaves you wanting one more bite.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with staff who treat you like family and a vibe that invites you to linger. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Muey Wayneo is the kind of place that earns a permanent spot on your favorites list.
