We spoke with the hostess about sitting outside with our dogs and another hostess seated us and gave us menus. After 15 minutes of waiting, we turned our menus in and left. We were ignored.

7 of us and we all ordered something different and liked it all. Service was great!

Had the jambalaya pasta. It was amazing! My family had the NHC Mac and cheese, and the lobster grilled cheese. The food and service was fantastic!!

Kick off the official start of summer at Shades Bar & Grill!

We'll have music from DJ Vladi from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., plus Forever Moments Photo Booth will be on-site from 10 p.m. to midnight. Locals will receive a 10% discount all day (must show Bay or Walton County ID).

The creole shrimp and grits were phenomenal. Could not ask for a better server than Mike.

Owners are very professional!

Beer and food are way too expensive for what you get. The waiter (Avery L.) said Guinness was available in a pitcher then after we order it came back and said management pulled it from the list. Why tell us it was available in the first place? The food in general is very expensive for the sports bar atmosphere it's in. The Pad Thai was good but a small portion and the fire sea food plater came out cold.

Food was excellent. Everything was tasty and fresh. Service was great, our waitress kept the drinks full and food came out quickly after ordering. Loved the homemade queso dip and chips. The jalapeño chicken wrap was delicious and we loved the Italian sandwich on focaccia as well. Will definitely return!

We love Shades! We moved down here a few months ago and eat here at least once a week. The staff is excellent, and we love the food! Great spot whether you're visiting or a local.

Love shades!! We’ve been going for years and years and the service, good quality and atmosphere is always consistently amazing!
Love the shrimp appetizer and queso. Fish tacos are phenomenal too and amazing beer choices.
