The staff are arrogant and try to rip you off! Put bogus items on your bill and take money as a tip without giving the customer a choice of the amount.

We were the only people in the restaurant and waited 1 hour and still no food.

We ate here on our first night arriving at the condo for the month of February. We weren't greeted right away, but the burger and the fish&chips were very good. We'll eat there again in our last night here.

The hamburger was great. Good service, although I was the only one here. I didn't have to fight the rain and fog. Just a short ride down the condo elevator.

I choose not to patronize this restaurant because when I walked in I was not greeted, even though there was someone working at the bar. There was no one at the greeters station. I did get a menu on my own to see if there was something I wanted and just walked over to the bar. Still not being greeted. An older “white” couple walked up to the greeters stand and was immediately told by the person working at the bar that they could sit wherever they like. Still completely ignoring me. I literally had to ask him if he was working the tables and he said he was working everything. Still not asking if I wanted to be seated or order anything. After he went to take the couple their menus, he then asked if I was placing a togo order? I asked him why was I not greeted and ask the moment I walked in like the other people he just seated. He stated “ I didn’t know because you were looking at the menu” I stated you didn’t bother to ask either but you did make sure the other couple got seated and taken care of with me standing here and been here for the longest. He then stated “I’m the only one working” I then stated yes I see that but yet you still made sure you addressed the other people and not once greeted, asked any questions or wanted to know my needs. I decided not to stay and take my money elsewhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR FROM MY EXPERIENCE. We are not welcomed here!!!!

We had dinner at Waves twice and it was great both times. The food was delicious, view was amazing and great for people watching on the beach and the service was good. The chicken tacos were so good!! If you're staying at the Tidewater, stop by and try it out!

The views from this place can't be beat! Great location next to Pier Park. Nice pool and tiki bar. Yes the elevators suck.. but so do every resorts and we've stayed at all the big ones in PCB including Aqua, Calypso and Ocean Reef. We would go back here.

To be clear, this place is NOT a resort. Elevators are impossibly slow and the mechanical noises from them made it impossible to sleep without earplugs. The bedroom did not have a proper blackout shade so the bright exterior lights shone in all night. Only way to skip the horrible elevator is to take the dingy stairwell that smells like a hot dumpster. This place was probably nice 30 years ago but it’s well past it’s prime now. Beach is super crowded at the resort. Pools are nothing to write home about. Exercise equipment is ancient and the machines squeak and rattle under use. The bar/restaurant smells like a carwash - You know that smell of Armor-All mixed with coconut air freshener. It’s everywhere in that place. The common areas are sparsely furnished and extremely dated. The abundant security staff is not friendly. Getting to and from the parking garage is a hassle. It’s a hassle just moving around on the property with the constant wristband scanning to get in and out of doors. All that said, the view from my unit is great and the condo is appointed nicely. Too bad the rest of this place is a dump.

The room was very nice and perfect fit for our family, (2801) The hotel was decent looking but has some major flaws. The elevator situation is crazy, It literally takes up to 30 minutes at busy times for the elevator to come. The staff was not very nice or helpful. The beach area was so crowded it was hard to find a spot anywhere, I know that is not the hotels fault but they could do more to help. I will not be back to this place.

This place is in a good location if you like staying close to pier park. Our room was nice with a few minor issues. We had a great view. We didn’t really like having to wear bracelets the whole time. Only one hot tub worked. No water in the gym. The elevator situation was like nothing I had ever seen before with having been going to the beach every year for quite some time and staying in other condos. They had someone working on some of the elevators to stop it from stopping at other floors. The fact that this is needed was insane to me. I would probably not stay here again unless staying on a lower floor. It made it hard to plan to do things at a certain time bc you didn’t know how long you would be waiting around for an elevator.

Took forever to be waited on and it wasn’t crowded. Took a long time to get our food, one of us didn’t get their dinner until the rest of us were finished eating. It was cold so it must’ve been sitting around for awhile. Also, the salad came out with no dressing, so we had to wait and couldn’t eat with others. Waitress offered us a piece of pie for our inconvenience, when we said yes, the manager said no! Unbelievable ! Overall experience wasn’t great. They did have a guitarist/ singer who was very good! And the view of the gulf was awesome.Parking: They let us park in front but I don’t think you could park in garage without a ticket.

Tidewater is a great family resort. Perfect location near Pier Park. Not sure I would return in June as it is extremely busy and the elevators are horrible. We stayed on the 19th floor and waited up to 30 minutes for an elevator. Only 1 hot tub was working. Love the area and the condo was pretty and well equipped. but would probably not stay at Tidewater again until elevator situation is resolved.

We just checked out from a 5 night stay here and will definitely not be back! Our condo was infested with roaches! During our stay, we complained to Vacasa twice about it. The first time they sent an exterminator, but he only sprayed in the kitchen, and it seems that that just made them gravitate towards the whole rest of the condo. We were even smacking them as they were climbing up the walls down our rooms hallway! The 2nd complaint, they didn’t send anyone! We also complained of one of our bathrooms’ tub and sink would not drain. They wouldn’t send anyone to fix that either. Our balcony doors were extremely hard to open. And we even found clothes from the previous guests laying around. So not sure we get our moneys worth of that “cleaning fee” we all pay out the rear for…anyway, after all that mess, then NO, we will not be back. We spend our hard earned money to have a great experience and bring back memories and fun souvenirs, NOT a sackful of roaches!
