Ok. So we were introduced to Shaq's Big Chicken on the Mardi Gras Cruise ship back in July 2023. It was seriously the best food on that boat. My family and i would have it just about every day. Morning and lunch. It was THAT good. When we found out there was one in Panama city beach, we made it a point to go. We were so excited. We pulled up and it looked like a ghost town. We actually thought it was closed because no one was there and it was dark. We decided to go In Anyway. It was open and the only people in there were the workers. The workers were super nice and friendly. We went ahead and ordered. The menu was different but that was kind of expected. I just ordered a regular chicken sandwich with fries and a drink. My husband did the same. When the food came out, we were excited tu take the first bite. Let me just say, that first bite was spit out SO FAST. The sandwich was entirely way too salty. It was horrible. I tried to eat the inside of the chicken sandwich without the beard part thinking that was the problem and NO. The whole thing was bad. The fries? Completely different!! They were crinkle fries. On the boat, they weren't crinkled. One of the workers came to talk to us while we were there and asked us what we thought. We were super honest with him and told him how disappointed we were. He was sweet and understanding.
Me and my husband both felt sick afterwards and our stomachs were all messed up. I hope shaq goes over there and fixes their recipes because WHEW. That was the absolute worst.

I ordered the dirty fries went home took a bite of the the my girl said can I have some when I gave her some she went when she tasted it she ran in the room locked the door when she opened the door she handed me a empty plate

Unfortunately, I had no luck eating there, just a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, and French fries. I had to go home from vacation and went to the emergency room, and for two weeks now I've still not been well. . When we left there I started to feel sick, gastritis attacked... They need to check especially the salad with mayonnaise.

The menu at Big Chicken is quite diverse, offering a variety of chicken dishes prepared fresh to order. This commitment to quality was apparent when our meals arrived, piping hot and beautifully presented. Each dish showcased the kitchen's skill and dedication to delivering fresh, flavorful food.
However, there was one recurring issue that everyone in my party of four noted: the chicken, while delicious, was overly salty. We each ordered different items to get a well-rounded sense of the menu, but this issue was consistent across all our dishes. The seasoning, which initially enhanced the flavors, quickly became overwhelming. This was disappointing because it detracted from what could have been a nearly perfect meal.
Despite the saltiness, the chicken itself was cooked to perfection. It was tender, juicy, and flavorful, with a delightful crispy exterior. The sides we tried complemented the main dishes well and were equally fresh and tasty. If the kitchen could dial back on the salt, the overall dining experience at Big Chicken would be outstanding.
In conclusion, Big Chicken offers a warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and high-quality food that is cooked to order. While the excessive salt was a downside, it is an easily correctable issue. We hope to return in the future and find that this minor flaw has been addressed, as Big Chicken has the potential to be a standout dining destination.

We were looking for somewhere not so expensive but still delicious and we found it! Our son LOVED the Mac and cheese and the sauce as well as the chicken sandwiches were delicious! My husband said it best - there’s nothing bad here. We loved the welcoming atmosphere and the Christian music too ♥️ definitely would come back!
