My 20 year old son just returned from this restaurant. He and his roommate took their girlfriends at one of their father's recommendation. These polite young people were excited to go out for a nice meal. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the service was inexcusable. The waitress was rude from the start. She basically dropped their plates on the table at them. Fries from one plate bounced off and landed on the table with no apology. At the end of the meal they asked to box their food up. One small box was brought and not big enough for their left overs. When they politely asked for another, the server snapped at them saying, "so you want two boxes then?" Flustered, the kids left their to go boxes by mistake and were in the gift shop when they realized this. They walked back to the table to be told they were already thrown away. The server was left an undeserved 20% tip, because I have taught my son what is expected when eating out. I hope this establishment realizes that these young people have parents who will now not b e recommending nor visiting this establishment. Do better.
It really was not fresh fish unfortunately Our waitress must of been overwhelmed… she was non-existent… I want to cup of soup and a salad and I was told I couldn’t have a salad with a cup of soup and I said I will buy a salad and she said I can’t let you even buy a salad. I’m like I can’t buy a salad.??? so I settled for grits which was like soup. Maybe they were overwhelmed too busy.?? but it was not good 🙁
After having the absolute worst experience at their neighbor establishment, The Grand Marlin, Captain Anderson’s exceeded all expectations. Our party of 13 was quickly given a large table, the drinks were great, food was on par, and the staff were all friendly from the get. The sweet woman at the desk to check in, the staff along the way to the table, our server, and the other waitstaff. 10/10 recommend. If you’re trying to decide which of the two to dine, Grand Marlin or Captain Anderson’s, I highly recommend the latter.
Still the best seafood restaurant in PCB!! Great people, too!! We go almost every night of our trip and enjoy every time!! My husband loves the Grouper Imperial with the Greek salad! He also tried a Filet and said it was delicious!! He did wish they offered sautéed mushrooms! My favorites are the She Crab soup, Chargrilled Shrimp, and Crab cakes!!

It was our first time in Panama City Beach and doing a little research we found the is restaurant. The ambience was super nice, seafood was amazing. Ann G. Was our server and she was super friendly and provided an exceptional service! Calamari, greek salad, red snapper filet and grilled shrimp were beyond amazing! Food and atmosphere are excellent as always! We sat in the main dining room by the windows. Our server was not even close to the caliber we typically have.

Ate here for the first time in the summer of 2004 when Miracle Strip Amusement Park was still open. Last dined here in 2014. Will return again in the future.
