My husband and I were in Panama City recently and passed Major's Smokehouse on a drive to play tennis. We stopped for lunch on the way back. The two owners were there and the smoker was going full blast. I love smoked brisket and pulled pork. They combined the two into a beautiful sandwich that was so flavorful. My husband had one of their combo plates. SO GOOD! We also tried another BBQ place in the PCB area. It didn't compare with Major's. Smokehouse and BBQ are two very different things. Even if you have to go out of your way, it's worth the drive. You won't be disappointed.

Today is 1-29-22, best BBQ I have had in years. Great prices and quality food that everyone can enjoy. Will recommend to everyone to try this locally owned business.

For my husband’s retirement party, we had them cater it. Everything was delicious!!! All the food was wonderful, pulled pork, smoked chicken, chicken salad..... oh my goodness the chicken was wonderful!!! All the sides were too! Everyone was complimenting how good it all was!!! Thank you Daphne and everyone else at Major’s for helping make his party a special event.

We’ve eaten there twice since we discovered it! Delish! The earlier you go the fresher and better the food. That’s how it is with most genuine bbq places. If you go close to closing time you are going to get the leftovers. The first time was early afternoon and every single item was perfection! We got brisket and pulled pork, spicy slaw, Mac and cheese, bbq beans and green beans. There was not one item that wasn’t fantastic! The second time we went it was late afternoon and we got the smoked chicken and slaw and green beans. It was what I expected honestly. Everything was tasty but the chicken was a little dry and you could tell we got what was left of the beans. The slaw was even spicier this time and excellent. After trying a ton of BBQ places around PC this will definitely be our go to!

The food was not what is expected of a BBQ joint especially for the price. I would bet money the veggies were microwave reheated and even the ribs tasted and looked reheated and all the meat was just piled in pieces off of the bone. Honestly I've never been so disappointed in bbq. I don't recall my first visits to be as bad but the last makes me not ever wanna go back.

We had the rib plate with 2 sides, roll, and drink. Each meal was $12.00, which was reasonable. The sides selected were the sweet cole slaw and baked beans in one plate, and Mac & cheese plus collar greens in the other plate. The sides were okay. The cole slaw had a lot of parley in it (never seen that), and the baked beans were just canned pork and beans with a little added pork meat. The beans tasted as if they has been put in the smoker to add a little smoke favor. The Mac & cheese was cooktop style (not baked), and the collar greens had no meat in them for seasoning. The main reason for a lower review is the ribs were pre-boiled before going into the smoker. Realizing this reduces cooking time and makes the ribs tender, however, this does not allow the fat in the ribs to be rendered and made the meat somewhat mushy. The meat came off the bone as soon as you picked up the rib, and the bone was soft (like boiled chicken bones when making chicken and rice). I would not order the ribs again. I will give Major’s another try, but will stick to a pork sandwich and chips.
