It has been years since we’ve been to a PoFolks but we still remember the good, country food they offered. This did not disappoint. It took a bit to get seated but once we got to our table things went fast. The food was great and the price was reasonable considering all we got.
II think PoFolks has the best fried chicken anywhere and I’m just sad that there aren’t more locations. I went out of my way on a roadtrip to make sure I ate at this location and it fit the bill. Charming old-school southern decor to go with good service and, of course, phenomenal fried chicken. The sides are okay, the bathrooms are cleaner than other PoFolks but still not particularly clean (for some reason).\n\nThe best southern cooking chain anywhere.
Usually this place is good, the fried chicken has always been great. However, tonight I ordered take out. Everyone got their food and was satisfied except me. I ordered the half pound burger cooked medium. Welp, I got a black dried up piece of meat. Called and The guy who took our order says the cook accidentally overcooked my burger..says I can bring it back and they will make a new one. Or I can bring it back the next time I'm in.
