The Crazy Donkey Mexican Grill

We eat here about 2 times a week and the food and service is always awesome. The staff is so friendly and the food is great. They have outdoor seating if you are traveling through with pets so they can get out and stretch their legs too. The hibachi plate is one of my favorites!

There were 5 of us (including two children under 5). The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very good. While traveling on I-40, we saw the sign advertising The Crazy Donkey Grill. My daughter (who was driving) turned off at the Palestine exit and we thought she had messed up or got confused, but took us directly to The Crazy Donkey Grill. It was a good experience to eat at a local (not chain) business.

Stopped in for late dinner on a road trip. Good food. Quick, good, friendly service. Very clean. All the basic Mexican dishes you expect, in addition to basic dishes. Wanted to write a review hoping more people will stop here as they travel I-40. It is definitely worth it!

Food was delicious and they were very generous with portions. The margarita was so good and strong. Unfortunately they were out of strawberry, but I got the apple and it did NOT disappoint. This place was amazing. Definitely recommend. We were just driving by and hungry. Had no expectations at all. So glad we did.

I don't normally put bad reviews on people's businesses I look for the positive but people let me tell you there is nothing positive about this place we couldn't get service I received a margarita didn't have no alcohol it tasted like I had to buy a shot just to put in it took forever for a little simple Taco to come and then the food wasn't even good the people didn't talk English it was horrible horrible then it was $80 on top of that we probably waited an hour at least for them to take our order so I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Not even mediocre. Waited 10 minutes after being seated to get my menu or and drink, during late lunch hours when there were only two other tables being waited on. The menu was basic and underwhelming, with a severe lack of signature plates which might have otherwise made this restaurant unique. The food itself was very bland and had a weird taste to it (the enchiladas, rice, beans). I was excited to try the dessert which might have brought it up to a 3 star review, but even that was a disappointment. The chimichanga cheesecake was thin and chewy like cardboard, with almost no filling. Finally, no refills on my water. The only saving grace was that the waitress was friendly, which is to be expected anyways. Definitely would not recommend. I will continue going to El Jalisco.

We had a great experience here. We were greeted at the door in a very friendly manner, seated immediately, and our waitress provided recommendations. The chips, guacamole, and salsa were amazing. The couple with us had enchiladas and really enjoyed them. Our Famous Molcajete was fantastic! Our waitress was Patricia. She was friendly and very efficient. Thank you!

Love this place! Music Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-5pm. Gets busy, so go early if you want to sit down! Cash only!

Not sure with all the negative reviews about service and all of that is… Very good service very attentive and friendly servers and very good food. Me and my friends regular this place

Very cute place ! Our server Vince was very attentive and nice! The salsa was very hot but other than that food was delish and presentation was nice! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely best Mexican food in Panama city

I was in dining room a few weeks ago and passed out (not related to the restaurant) and staff was super. they helped my family, called 911 and when I left gave me some special soup plus packed up our order. I've always liked this place and their service was extraordinary that day.

Great service, plenty of parking, best Mexican food I have had in Panama City (and I've been to many restaurants). We had a small birthday gathering and the waitress was phenomenal.

The food was wonderful. Number 51 on the menu is delicious.Our waitress was excellent. The staff is friendly and welcome.
