We went to this place on St. Patty's Day. It was not overly busy at all so we grabbed a seat at the bar. This appears to be a 'locals' establishment and since we were fairly new to the area, that was exactly what we were looking for. We were there for a while and our bartender had to go off duty so we cashed out with her. We stayed a while longer and when we decided to leave, we were charged a second time for part of our initial check. I pointed it out, but the check never seemed accurate. With all of that being said, we had a good time sitting and chatting with several people, and the eggrolls that we ordered were really good. The outside patio seems to be the place to be so check it out!

Good food and friendly staff! Food came out quickly and waitress was attentive. Only issue was they had no oysters when we went. Not sure if it was supply issue or equipment. Would still recommend for a chill place to eat.

My family and I dined here after venturing away from the restaurants on the beach, which were super crowded. I had fried grouper, which was delicious. One of my daughters had a burger, which was good, and my other daughter ordered pizza, which was not good at all. The server was courteous and attentive. It was nice to see where the locals hang out on a Friday night. Small but nice atmosphere.

Love this place!! Such a cute place with such a great vibe. The manager is amazing and it’s the sweetest staff ever!! ??♀️ I had the seafood nachos and they were delicious. Can’t wait to check out some live music here!

This place is awesome!! First off everyone should support local business due to all the suffering they have endured with COVID... especially the good ones! Places like this are so special. The manager & staff here are the BEST. They have delicious food and such a great atmosphere. Love this place
The crawfish bread, mahi sandwich & sweet potato fries were outstanding! So tasty and priced very reasonable! Staff and service was off the top, above and beyond! Nice to eat somewhere that they actually CARE if you enjoy the food! Highly recommend!

This restaurant was awesome. The staff and food was amazing. This was such a great experience in Downtown Panama City. I would recommend this place to anyone!! They sang happy birthday to my 6 year old and made her day. Go to the Funky Mermaid if you are in Panama!!

We had such a great time at the Funky Mermaid! The food was excellent as was our server Ria! She was so cheerful and happy, it enhanced our experience! Love the shrimp appetizer. The catfish was excellent! Definitely try this place!

The food and the service could not have been better! The staff CARES if you like the food/drinks etc and go out of their way to make sure you are Happy! Today we had the crawfish bread, mahi sandwich & sweet potato fries! Unbelievably good! Hot, fresh & tasty! Highly recommend!
