Hibachi Joe - Catering & Restaurant

On our way out to dinner right now as Joe is almost 2 hours late and not responding to calls. Not my booking but my best friends. We spent hours putting up a tent and decorations for her husbands 50th, all of us were excited for the experience - all to get completely scammed by this guy. My friend is devastated \\u0026 if you bother to read your bad reviews Joe you should realize that people put a lot of time and money to create a memorable event for a loved one and now she’s in tears and he’s angry. Absolutely appalling behavior by this “business”.

Scams people takes their money. We booked earlier this year in February. To our deposit and ran until we said we were going to the news stations to report him. Then he refunded. Stay clear and spread the word. DO NOT USE HIBACHI JOE!

Took our deposit and didn’t show up. Ruined our friends birthday. No call no show is unprofessional. Do not hire no show Joe.

I am a victim of Hibachi Joe. On February 2, 2023 I booked a family birthday dinner for 6 pm on March 31, 2023 for 12 people. I received an invoice on February 3 for the deposit and promptly paid by Zelle on February 3. I confirmed the event several times by phone, email and text. I rarely heard back from them. Early on March 31, the day of the event, I confirmed again and they confirmed. At 6:15 (already late with no call, I called them and was told that "almost there, sorry to be late". At 6:30 we called again and he told us that he was in a car accident less than 1 mile away and should be there soon. At 7:30, I called again and he said he was still tied up at the accident and would immediately refund our deposit. A few days later, on April 6, I texted again asking for my deposit. on April 7, I received a text saying " Good morning. I'll be refunding your deposit later today by Zelle. Unfortunately I had a hectic week and I apologize for the inconvenience." No deposit was returned and I texted him late afternoon on April 7 and late morning on April 8. I never received a response and never received my deposit. Apparently I am not the only victim. One star is 2 stars too many.

Hibachi Joe cancelled last second due to a “medical emergency” which based on prior reviews seems to be his go-to excuse. Still waiting for deposit to be returned almost a month later. This is a SCAM

Joe was confirmed for 730pm tonight. It’s 820 and Joe has yet to answer any form of communication- phone, DM, text and email. Phone voicemail was full and we were unable to leave a voicemail. Joe’s policy is a 15 minute grace period. It has been 50 minutes with no form of communication. And by digging into reviews it looks like he won’t give deposit back.. this is absolutely unacceptable

He did not show up to our party after deposit was sent and date confirmed. Mailbox full and he never gave the deposit back. This company needs to be taken down

Joe is such a great guy! Super accommodating and the food was fantastic. We were having a bachelorette party and he brought champagne for the bride! I cannot recommend him enough.

Unfortunately, despite how excited I was for this Hibachi Joe event, I have to give the company a 1 star for the extreme disappointment I experienced due to their lack of care for serious medical/food allergens.After multiple conversations with Joe that we had leading up to this personal and customized catering event about allergies/needs for safe dining, the chef and server had absolutely no idea about the severe medical concerns or the conversations that were exchanged with Joe via email and phone beforehand.There were no allergen alternatives to the ingredients that were originally promised, and overall the chef and server had no instruction or education on the serious food allergies mentioned or anything was previously discussed with the owner in regards to dietary safety or cross contamination, which was done throughout the entire meal.The chef had mixed multiple non-allergen friendly ingredients with the "allergy friendly" meal, and served the food with the same contaminated utensils and tools without washing anything in between, etc. Even when the server was told this was no longer safe, he simply smiled and continued to serve the food anyway.Overall this custom catering service was extremely unsafe and upsetting to experience, and am still waiting on a proper response from the company after multiple emails that have been sent afterwards.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU BOOK WITH HIBACHI JOE. I confirmed my reservation 6 WEEKS IN ADVANCE and the day prior to our event. He no showed without any explanation. He still has not returned my telephone calls or text messages, and he owes me the $350 deposit. COMPLETE SCAM. Do not trust the positive reviews.

Joe is amazing!!!! He was super communicative, accommodating, and friendly. He and his staff are so kind and made sure everything was taken care of from set up to clean up. The food was delicious! Everyone had such a wonderful time. Don't hesitate to hire Joe for your next event!!!

Horrible experience. He was unable to keep the scheduled dinner due to being sick. He showed up late, threw up in the lawn and of course had to cancel. He then denied our refund. He got away scot free with our deposit of nearly $500 bucks.

We had a very horrible experience with Hibachi Joe! Not only was he late to our hibachi experience , he also showed up sick and vomited in our drive way. A simple call to let us know that he wasn’t feeling well and needed to cancel would have been fine and understandable. It was very unprofessional and put us in potential danger of coming in contact with whatever sickness he was experiencing at that time. There was no effort at all to return our deposit! We requested our deposit back and was told we would receive the funds. Months later and we still haven’t received our deposit back or any response.

My Experience with Joe & his team was beyond Amazing. From the time I found him on IG until the now he’s been nothing but phenomenal. Great service, communication, patience… I mean they even came early to set up, fully prepared, I needed more light he had that, they all decorated the tables, came prepared to entertain, brought the birthday girl an chef hat & let her interact. Overall I loved his services the food was awesome we even got a bottle of white sauce/yum yum to go. My daughter will always remember this night. Thanks Joe
