Not good
Ordered beef fried rice and it was LOADED with beef. I thought my food was very good. Had orange chicken and eggplant with garlic sauce.

By far the best Chinese food restaurant in the area! The customer service is excellent and the food is always prepared quickly. I've never been disappointed in the quality of the food.

We order from here probably 2x a month, going on a year now. Quality food, decent portions, easy to order for pick up, and very fast service. Take out only.

My mom and I have been ordering from here for several years. I'm surprised by some of the reviews as we have always enjoyed the food. It's not the BEST but it is GOOD. Now, I do have to say we pretty much get the same thing and have not experienced everything. The chicken & mixed vegetables, kung pao, general tso, the crab Rangoon and egg rolls are all really good. And it's reasonably priced. It's a take out joint not really a dine in.
Greatest food and very friendly 😋

Always good, love their sauces and fried rice! Friendly family that recognize me every visit. It's our family favorite when just too busy to cook.

Good food. Typical of New York style Chinese takeout. Definitely not a place I would sit down to eat but we'll get take out again.

Ordered the house fried rice and sweet and sour chicken.
Opinion: overpriced and edible. It was better than nothing…
Chicken was burnt and soggy. Fried rice was ok. I expected more for 32$… serving 1…

Very good food, i’ve never had a problem with any of my orders and despite the other comments and reviews, it’s very delicious overall
Restaurantji Recommends
I have lived near Chung Shing for about 2 years, but due to reviews, I hadn't given it a try. Sadly, I should have stuck with that. I ordered cashew chicken, egg roll, and crab rangoons. I asked for extra sauce on the cashew chicken, and it was dry as a bone. I could have gotten past that, even though disappointed if the taste was there, but it wasn't. It was so bad that I could not handle more than a few bites. The meat had a horrible burned taste to it. The egg roll was a little less than ordinary. It tasted like any other egg roll I could get in the freezer section at the grocery store. I was holding out hope that the crab rangoons would be okay. The flavor on the filling wasn't bad, but the outside was stale and hard. They tasted like they had been cooked, then dropped back in the oil again to get hot.
Other than the politeness of the person I placed the order with, I don't recommend Chung Shing at all.
Very expensive compared to others.
I have gone here about 4 times now and the first 3 times were PHENOMENAL. Unsure what happened today, but the house lo mein was VERY plain.
This was on 5/10 at 5 PM.
I believe that the food is awesome and the people are nice and friendly
I'm a bit of a Chinese take out connoisseur. I regularly try new places to find the best ones. Sad to say, this one is NOT it. Just horrible. Practically ruined Chinese take out for me entirely. I had shrimp with mixed vegetables. I believe they have shrimp-shaped cat with no flavoring whatsoever! I mean, shrimp-shaped cat is awesome. But put some damn flavor on it! And it cost noticeably more than typical restaurants. Plus the vibe is very snobbish in there. Don't look down on me because I'm dirty from working. I work a very rough and dirty job. That doesn't instantly make you better than me! But yeah, just awful! Definitely look elsewhere for quality Chinese take out, unless you prefer overpriced, flavorless stray cat served by douchebags. Please excuse my terminology.
