From the disorganization on being seated to the horrible customer service.we were told we had to wait to be seated, then we see people walk in and seat themselves so it’s a popularity bases restaurant. The place is extremely small. It took 20 mins just for our server to even ask us what we wanted to drink… then didn’t even come back and touch bases with us to let us know that it was no more (Bernys punch) until after we decided to drink water and almost finished our food after we had already sent that nothing but mixer (lemon drop) back the first time. We never got the hookah we asked for… then had the nerve to have a guarantee service charge for that horrible customer service ?… it’s never again for a lot of places and this is one of them!

First time visting this establishment for a date night and I was very disappointed. Eventhough all the negative reviews, I wanted to support my haitian people and give this place a chance with an honest review myself. Berny's Kitchen has the potential to be great but there are areas that needs help. There were many red flags during my visit. First red flag not having a hostess or sign at the front door in order to not have your customer's just stand at the front door or figure out if they have to self seat..which hubby end up asking a waiter at the bar, if we just look for a table and seat ourselves. Second red flag waited a while before the waiter approached to take our order and never offered any water for the table. Third red flag as early as 8p.m. not having the correct or enough alcohol to make any speciality drinks after asking for 3 different drinks and recieving a response they don't have all 3 then having to settle for a watered down armeretto sour. Fourth red flag was sitting at an uncomfortable sofa like chair which was very low to the ground with a high table in front which made it very uncomfortable to eat on the table or even reach out to grab anything. In addition we ordered the calamari appetizers which was very rubbery and straight from the box freezer. They also charge an 18% gratuity which service was subpar and I don't believe that should be granted. I gave 2 stars for the decor and the entrées which was above average but not worth what we paid. I definitely will not be returning.

I’m at Berny’s right now and the experience is trash, ghetto atmosphere, long wait time for food, low staff, rude staff. They not on point at all don’t come here. Spoke to the manager and she couldn’t give me an explanation as to why. After waiting 2 hrs they gone tell me there sold out of legume.

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! It was a group of three of us that went to dine in yesterday night, and when we tried to call prior to going there... they mention that we don't need a reservation. Once we got there, it was a 45 minute wait for us, and the waitress never came back to let us know if our table was ready or not. We saw people got up from their table to leave and then seen another server go and clean, so then we took the initiative to sit ourselves down. It took another 30 minutes for the waitress to give us our menus and then to come back in another additional 10 minutes to ask to see if someone has asked what we ordered for our drinks. From that point on, my friends and I decided to place an order for both our entrée and our foods, since we saw how slow the service was. We then sat for an hour waiting for our food, until we decided to get up and leave. No one came to accommodate us for patiently waiting, they catered more to the to go orders than anything.

Listen this is an awesome spot with great food, drinks, music, and a welcoming vibe , plus they offer hookah! They have everything from akra to lalo and everything that I tried was good , people say the spot is hard to find but for us it wasn't hard to find at all its clearly visible. Don't hesitate to check it out; highly recommend for friends and family hangouts or even just a take out

I drove 40 minutes in 6pm traffic on a Friday to eat here. That's how bad I wanted to try this restaurant. lol. And they did not disappoint. We arrived a little bit after 7pm. It was only one other party in there. That was definitely a plus for me. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is dim and ambiance is nice. They play great music and have hookahs available for a decent price. I ordered 2 Henny Passion and my friend had a Tequila Sunrise. I ordered a medium fried fish and my friend had the griot. The food was 1000/10. My fish was seasoned and fried to perfection. Nice and spicy how I like it. I taste the griot and it delicious as well. My food was $92 (w/ 18%) and my friend's food was $43. As we left the ppl were definitely pulling up and I know why. The food and vibe is good. I'll definitely be back soon.

Food is amazing here love supporting my people . Owner needs to prioritize hiring better servers . And expansion if possible because it is small . Not really “ fine dining “ more so fast food dining , and with gratuity included you would expect more of a clean fine dining structure , I give it a 4 because the food definitely is immaculate & the Haitian picklez is spicy . Hookahs are great as well. The biggest downfall isn’t even atmosphere is the service. I still will be ordering because the food is bomb

Food is overpriced for the lackluster taste. It was hot and fresh though. Waitresses need help. It takes a really long time for your food to come out and if youre with a group all your food will come out at different times with long gaps in between.

I actually gave this place a few chances . The first time I went I ordered griot( fried Pork) they took my order and came back 20 minutes later just to say they don’t have it . The second time I went , I walked in the waiter was sitting down eating and said ( mouth and hands all greasy) how can I help you . We said we wanted to dine in and she said we can sit ourselves and she continued eating . She came 15 minutes later to our table and said she was ready to take our order and said the owner is choosing not to serve alcohol, we still decided to stay because we were hungry. Everything we asked for that was on the menu she said they didn’t have . We walked out . Last night I tried to door dash , when the driver got to the restaurant they said they didn’t have what I ordered and told the driver that they’re not canceling the order and that I had to .this isn’t it , I’m sorry this place is horrible for
