Normally go to other Derrys on Pines but I was next Door & Remembered get some of the best fried chicken and fries from Derrys 2 I went Saturday & ordered just that I have to say I'm a bit upset cause the chicken tasted Burnt & hard no seasoning the fries no seasoning soggy. Ordered a flop they outta Ice ? this was horrible cause I was telling my husband about this place & it was a Big Disappointment ?

Food was extremely terrible. Eggs were undercooked and runny. The grits were runny and unseasoned and I don’t know how you could possibly mess up fried chicken but that was also horrible. Please don’t waste your time

Food is great. Fried snapper seasoned to perfection, and the grits are creamy but not stiff. If you want a good old fashioned southern breakfast come treat yourself !!

Looking for a place to sit down and enjoy breakfast with a couple of friends. First, it was hard to spot, buried without a sign in a totally inconspicuous strip shopping center. They have three tables and a counter but no service. Ask for a menu. No prices. You stand in line, give the person behind the register your order. Wait for awhile. Then it comes ready to go in clamshells and plastic bags instead of being served on plates with utensils. You get up from your table and they will hand you your bags of food. Then you go back to your table and unpack everything, creating a pile of garbage. I wanted the vegetable omelet. They didn't have spinach, a key ingredient. They charged me the same for it, like ordering a BLT without the bacon. It was okay with a few shakes of hot sauce. My friend had the shrimp and we both had grits with cheese. That was a great dish. Shrimp were cooked perfectly, with a garlicky sauce. Mixed in with those cheesy grits were yummy. My other friend had something else forgettable. The nice lady who handed us our handed was happy to take our money--especially when we stuffed a few singles in that plastic tip jar.

They do not pay attention to detailed orders. The male cashier was very nasty in person and the female cashier was very nasty over the phone. And they say "Black Lives Matter" isn't that broad going to prison? Can't patronize your own people. The can be your own worst enemy.

Today, on my day off, I decided to get me some fish and grits. So I go to Derrys 2 and as soon as I walk in the door I am greeted by a beautiful little girl and her mother. They were warm and inviting and were patient as I placed my order. I ordered 2 plates of fish and grits and a side of fries. With a small flop but she gave me a large instead. How kind of her. They are family owned and care about their customers. I recommend anyone to not only enjoy their delicious food but their warm hospitality. 5 out of 5 stars ?Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy their food and fruit punch.
