Bamboo Willie's Beachside Bar on Pensacola Beach

We went to check out the venue while in town. The waitresses would not even acknowledge any table that didn’t have a male sitting at it. One waitress serviced tables on both sides of us & would not come to our table. We finally went to the bar & ordered drinks, they weren’t great & the bartender was not friendly. We love checking out local bars & restaurants. We won’t be back to this one.

RUDE STAFF RUINED THE EXPERIENCE! First night of our trip & I couldn’t wait to show my new daughter in law my favorite bar. Unfortunately a bartender named Madison ruined the entire night for us. Not only did she accuse my daughter of using a ‘fake’ ID, but she also refused to give it back until an officer showed up (20 mins later) to confirm it is real! I couldn’t believe it. It was not only our first drink of the night, but she was also surrounded by 5 older adults, all in laws… we were a group of 9 prepared to spend money that night! I showed her my ID, and asked her if it looked fake to her as well, as we are from a different state. She stated that it did. When I explained the obvious fact that I am well over 21 and not using a fake ID, she told me to leave her establishment. We were prepared to leave the moment she made us feel like outsiders, but we couldn’t because she kept my daughter‘s ID…& still would not give it back. She stated that was ‘her’ establishment. Well, I’m a business owner too, I could never imagine treating a patron the way she treated us that night. Fastest way to drive a business into the ground. We were forced to sit right outside the bar waiting for an officer while everyone that sat next to us at the bar, watched the whole time. Been coming to PCB for years & the BW used to be the absolute FIRST stop! Never Ever Again. Walked down to Señor Frogs after & had a much better experience. If Miss Madison doesn’t think she can make an educated decision for own establishment & needs an officer to confirm every young person that walks in, then it might be wise to just keep one on staff-at the very least. Making us sit outside the bar the first night of our visit for 20 minutes to wait for an officer like we did something wrong, was embarrassing & degrading. Disgusting behavior that night. EDIT TO ADD: My poor DIL must be a glutton for punishment. Her & my son decided to try again, since an officer clearly confirmed her ID as real. She got a drink successfully by another bartender, but then as she was leaving, we noticed that same MADISON pulling her to speak privately. Soon after, the bartender that served her came up to us as her & my son were leaving the bar. The bartender stated that although she just served her, she knows her ID is fake, & not to come back, that none of us will be served. WTF IS GOING ON HERE?????

Even though it was a weeknight with not many people there service was good there was Christmas music playing that was kind of killing the mood so we asked him to change the channel which he obliged and that made it great great great.

I caught some bad luck with the bushwackers in pre-made machine. I think they had soured. The bartender was very accommodating and attempted to make things right.

When I was younger this was the place to get your first bushwacker. It has amazing music the atmosphere is great but I don't think they serve food. There's a great Hooters right next door and tons of other places on the boardwalk to eat. Tons of different frozen drinks though :-)

Had a quick drink the willie wacker was good as was the bushwacker the key lime pie one was alright. Quick and friendly service.

I went to listen to the songwriters festival. No one could understand the lyrics because the sound system was so muffled. When I asked to speak to the sound engineer, they sent over a police officer. I asked the officer to listen to the lyrics and tell me what was being said, he could not tell me. The staff person told me to be quiet as I was interrupting others. When I asked the couple next to me with their young son, they wanted to know why I was asking them as I was not interrupting anyone. My thoughts are their sound system/ staff need serious training. When you charge customers to listen to music, especially new and upcoming songwriters, and you cannot understand the lyrics, action should be taken to correct the situation. Horrible experience at this place. Unless you are there for drinking only, avoid this place and their uninformed staff.

They have a great spot on the sound on the boardwalk. Drinks are fair. They do have good bands come in.
