If you want New Orleans food, go to New Orleans. I used to live there, so I know what's good. This was the absolute worst food I've ever had. Crab cakes boudin balls were mush and tasted like stuffing. Beignets were very doughy and not cooked/shaped right. The oil was dirty. Fried green tomato batter slid off and was salty AF. Had a massive spiky bone in my roast beef po'boy on my first bite and stabbed into my gums. That's not how you make a po'boy, by the way. The bread was also soggy as soon as it was served. Extremely disappointed and it was so expensive for how bad it tasted. Got a refund because it was so horrible and my mouth hurt all night from biting the giant bone in the po'boy.

geux geux shrimp or something was not good, the flavor was weird and fishy. maybe the boiled version is better we didn't know it was different as were not from the area. we got sweet potato fries and fried green tomatoes as well and it wasn't great.

Went on Sunday, and it wasn’t that busy. Placed my order and waited over 30 minutes and while I’m waiting I notice people with the company shirt taking alcoholic shots at the bar. Don’t know if they work there but it didn’t look good.

Then they brought my food out and brought out sweet potatoe fries. I asked the waitress if these are the only fries you have and she let me know that sweet potato fries have to be ordered so I was upcharged….as she went to get the fries I ordered I noticed they forgot my fish that I ordered, so when she came back I asked her if I ordered wrong and she said no, the kitchen had messed up. So I got the wrong fries and they didn’t give me my fish, and the only thing that was right was the shrimp but as I had waited for 30 minutes I expected the shrimp to be hot but I could tell it had been sitting out. The waitress brought me my correct food but did not seem that apologetic.

The whole experience put a sour taste in my mouth so I got my Togo boxes and as I was waiting I heard the staff cussing at the bar.

Food was unseasoned. Beef tasted just like straight meat from the cow, no spices or anything. After I left my stomach was bubbling. Waitress was sarcastic to me as well when I asked a question.

Took a hour and a half to get our food, they wasn’t even that busy, had a friend get there before us and we got our food before them. And they waited at least another 30 minutes. They make you pay and tip right when you order… I now know why. I would not recommend this place at all

Cafe Nola is an interesting experience, it just kind of is what it is. We had salads, add grilled shrimp. The shrimp was really well cooked, the salads were bagged greens plus tomatoes and cucumbers. Dressings were good and they give you two cups per salad. Pretty expensive for a salad though, at about $16.
The restaurant is cluttered and even though it seems relatively clean, the clutter makes it feel dirty and dingy.
We were here on a Wednesday night, I imagine the crowd is more lively on a weekend.

For anyone wondering the hours that are online have not been updated. They are still operating on their winter hours and close at 9pm

It's not a New Orleans taste at all. I should've known when the shrimp poboy came out with no batter on them. I'm from Louisiana, so I was excited, but this is definitely not our cooking at all. Friendly people, but I can't rate service when you order your food first, pay, then go sit down and get your own drink and service yourself. Nice spot on the beach, so it's definitely worth them investing in it. It's close to everything right on the water, but they need to fix their soft spots on the floor, and their steps are loose.

Great view, friendly staff, food is ok. My hamburger was pretty much raw when I asked for medium (some pink) ant they didn't come back around to see how we were doing.

I was alittle disappointed bonding balls were over cooked. Hush puppies were over cooked. We had to pay and tip before we ate and the waitress never checked on us to see if we needed anything.

Two words to summarize my Pensacola Beach Nola's experience...Never again! No silverware, no plates, no clean bathrooms, the entire restaurant was dirty, from the floors to the self service drink machine just absolutely dirty. Workers eating while preparing your food and while on thier cell phones. Workers with long hair are not wearing hair nets, no one is wearing food serving gloves.
I ordered the any three meal and nothing except the fries was cooked right. The fish, oyster and the shrimp was all undercooked, the hushpuppies was charred and burnt. The potato salad was so hard to eat and had the taste of freezer burnt mayo.
The plastic cup I was given to fix my own drink was so cheap that the cup bent and broke while applying the top, so I had to go get another cup because there was no waitress to ask for another cup.
The drink machine was greatly nasty, it reminded me of a gas station drink machine. There was empty packing boxes everywhere on counters, under the drink machine getting wet from the soda leaking from the machine. Never again 😒! The Nola Downtown is way more better than the Nola on Pensacola Beach!

Very steep crickity steps, no elevator. I thought that was a law for handicap? They must have used the same base for their red beans and rice, gumbo, and jambalaya. All tasted the same and mediocre. The place needs a thorough cleaning.

I thought it was extremely expensive for what I received. One piece of supposed grouper, over cooked shrimp, frozen ff. All in a paper basket, and nasty pigeons walking on the floor. Not going back. $37÷ with tip

Everything about this place was fine except the food. I ordered the crab seafood plate and it was disgusting, so I pretty much spent over $20 for just a basket of mediocre fries and seafood that was wasted. The other people I was with complained about the hush puppies being bad as well. They were super burnt on the outside and completely raw once you bit into them. I don’t plan on going back the next time I’m in Pensacola.
