“Had a marvelous Cajun lunch date this week here at Broussard's on a beautiful day. We did not know they had just reopened in August, and so glad that they are open again! The very best gumbo and fish and cheese grits, hands down, in the Pensacola area. And, the best sweet potato bread pudding (we ate it so fast, I only got a photo after it was gone)! Just Wow! Broussard's has been around for a long time. And with all the old and new restaurants in town serving similar dishes, this hidden gem next to McGuire's really outshines them all. “We tried Iron for the first time on a recommendation from my brother's friend. Everything about our experience was A+. The service was friendly and helpful. Blanch assisted us with our selections and was very attentive to our needs. Best personality ever! The food! We each ordered something different because we were torn on what sounded the best. Started with appetizer Black Garlic Butter Gnocchi and Escargot. It was tender and very flavorful. Highly recommend. The three main dishes we decided on were Chili Dusted Scallops, Lamb Neck Melt, and Anise Spiced Duck. We all sampled each other's and we couldn't decide which was the best. They were each were delicious in their own rite. Two of us ended the meal with the Key Lime Creme Brulee (the third regretted not ordering as soon as they came out, so I shared.) It was perfection. Everything was perfectly timed to allow for fellowship with your party and for a restaurant experience. I'll definitely revisit.“
